Klein Bluffs His Way to the Lead
Bill Klein limped in from the small blind with 4?4? and Jans Arends raised to 900,000 in the big blind with 8?8?. Klein called and they went heads-up to a flop of 9?6?2?.
Klein checked to Arends who continued with a bet of 700,000. Klein check-raised to 2,200,000 with the smaller of the two pocket pairs and Arens still called.
The turn was the 6? and Klein led out with a bet of 1,600,000. Arends still called and the 5? completed the board. Klein ripped all in on the river, putting Arends to the test for his last 4,850,000 chips.
Arends went into the tank, using up all of his time banks, before ultimately deciding to send his cards to the muck. Klein showed the bluff as he raked in the pot and became the new chip leader.
"I misread it," Klein said with a chuckle.
