Hillman Rebuilds Through Kessler
Louis Hillman's battle with the short stack continues, and he continues to succeed when in dire straits.
Hillman raised on the button and got three-bet by Allen Kessler in the big blind. Hillman called and drew two after Kessler drew one.
Kessler bet after the first draw and then Hillman placed chips forward and cut them out. He didn't realize that he had cut out enough for a raise, but his bet was binding and Kessler called.
They both still needed a card and then checked to the final drawing round.
Kessler placed a bet and Hillman cut out calling chips which would be 80,000 of his remaining 90,000 chips.
After a minute or so of thought, he pushed the call forward and declared eighty-seven perfect 8x7x4x3x2x.
His hand was good, as Kessler frustratedly mucked his hand to send another pot to the short-stack ninja of the $1,500 Triple Draw event.
