As told by the players at the table, on a flop of 4?3?A?, action was checked to Daniel Alaei in late position who bet 12,000. Dan Cates called on the button and then Chris Moneymaker check-raised to 50,000 from the small blind.
Alaei folded, but Cates then back-raised all in and Moneymaker called off.
