Field of Mixed Game Thoroughbreds Set to Round the First Turn in $10,000 H.O.R.S.E. Championship
Nearly 100 players will return to the Horseshoe Event Center Saturday with plenty more set to sprint out of the gate before registration closes in World Series of Poker Event # 54: $10,000 H.O.R.S.E. Championship when cards go in the air at 1 p.m. Las Vegas time.
From Day 1, 91 of the 165 entries made it through, but plenty more mixed game stars that were competing in events Friday like the Triple Draw Mix, PLO Championship, and Millionaire Maker are expected to join the fray Saturday, likely boosting the final entry total closer to 200.
As with Day 1, any new entries will start with 60,000 chips, and they��ll be chasing the chip lead of 353,000 bagged up by Steven Loube. Rounding out the top three stacks from Day 1 are Scott Bohlman (311,500) and Young Ko (298,500). Poker Hall of Famer Mori Eskandani (238,500) is also in the top ten to start the day.

Outside of the top ten are plenty more big names looking to move up the chip counts and on to Day 3 including Hall of Famers Daniel Negreanu (163,000), John Hennigan (125,000), and Todd Brunson (110,000).
This week��s $1,500 H.O.R.S.E. champion Yuri Dzivielevski (30,000) and 2021 champion Kevin Gerhart (17,500) are among those that will have to come from the back of the pack to make a charge toward the finish line.
Prize pool and payout details will be announced early in the day once registration is complete. For reference, last year fielded 209 runners, 32 players got paid, with the winner, Andrew Yeh (who remains in this year��s field with 68,000 chips), taking home $487,129. The money is expected to be reached late in the day Saturday.
When play resumes, the first of seven 90-minute levels will begin. Players get a 15-minute break at the end of every level and a 60-minute dinner break after Level 14 (approximately 7:30 p.m.).
