Matusow Chops After Misread
Mike Matusow: 8?3?3? / A?4?5?7?
Chad Eveslage: 9?9?6? / Q?5?4?10?
Mike Matusow completed and was called by Chad Eveslage. "Alright, let's go," Matusow said before betting on fourth street as Eveslage called.
Matusow bet on fifth street and made a praying motion as Eveslage sat in the tank and eventually called. There was another bet-call on sixth street and Matusow moved all in on seventh street as Eveslage called.
Matusow announced a flush before realizing he only had four hearts to be left with a low and a pair of threes. Eveslage revealed a pair of nines to take half the pot.
"They're trying so hard to double the best player up," Matusow said quietly.
"What do you mean? They couldn't double me up," Eveslage retorted as the table broke into laughter.
"It's fun being the villain," Eveslage said to Mike Thorpe to his left. "We are the same."
"It is fun being the villain," Thorpe agreed.
