Event #94: $5,000 8-Handed No-Limit Hold'em Resumes at 12 PM
One of the final bracelets of the summer will be awarded today in Event $94: $5,000 No-Limit Hold'em at the 2023 World Series of Poker at Horseshoe and Paris Las Vegas.
This event saw 813 players register for Day 1, smashing last year's attendance of 573 to create a colossal prize pool of $3,739,800. Of those 813 entrants, only 60 managed to bag a stack for the second and final day. The final 60 are all in the money and guaranteed at least $12,072, however, their sights will undoubtably be set on the top prize of $701,688 and a coveted WSOP gold bracelet.
Two-time bracelet winner David Peters bagged the biggest stack going into Day 2 with an impressive 1,490,000, worth 50 big blinds. Not far behind him are Nozomu Shimizu (1,450,000), Matthew Su (1,250,000), who made the 2022 WSOP main event final table and Phil Laak (1,050,000).
