Brian Brunner Eliminated in 18th Place ($20,000)
Badeucey
Venkata Tayi raised from the cutoff and was called by Brian Brunner on the button and Richard Bai in the big blind. Bai exchanged two on the first draw, Tayi changed one card and Brunner took two.
Bai checked to Tayi, who made a bet. Brunner called and so did Bai before the players exchanged the same number of cards as on the first draw.
Another bet followed from Tayi, as well as two calls. On the final draw, Bai drew one, Tayi stood pat, and Brunner also took one card. Bai checked once more and Tayi completed his triple barrel. Brunner folded, leaving only 10,000 chips back, but Bai looked Tayi up with a call.
Tayi showed 8?5?4?3?2? for the best eight-low, while Bai took the other half of the pot with 10?10?6?5?3? for a ten-badugi.
The next hand, Robert Mizrachi raised under the gun and Brunner tossed in his last chips from the cutoff. Michael Martinelli then made it three bets from the big blind and Mizrachi called.
All players changed two cards on the first draw, after which Martinelli bet and Mizrachi called. Martinelli then drew one, Mizrachi two, and Brunner one card.
Another bet followed from Martinelli, and Mizrachi put in a call again. On the final draw, Martinelli stood pat while Mizrachi and Bai each took one. Martinelli bet one last time and Mizrachi tossed in a call for a three-way showdown.
Mizrachi and Martinelli chopped up the side pot when Martinelli showed 9?7?4?3?2? for a seven-badugi while Mizrachi tabled 8?7?6?5?3? for an eight-low. Brunner could beat neither of those hands with his 7?6?4?4?2? and he was the first to exit from the final three tables.
