Lehoussine Eliminated in Style
Pot-Limit Omaha
In an otherwise quiet and serious field, Karim Lehoussine stood out keeping his table entertained with various noises, comments and just generally exuberant energy, especially in the last hours and minutes. His last hand was no exception, and while he ended up busting out, it counts for something that he left everyone at the table and around with a smile on their face.
Action began with a raise from Aaron Frank in the hijack to 50,000, which was called by Marcos Exterkotter in the cutoff. Lehoussine was in the small blind with a very short stack, 100,000 total to be exact, and decided to move all-in. He then got out of his seat, looking very excited as he put in his money. Action folded back to Frank, who decided to re-raise pot. After some consideration, Exterkotter let go of his hand.
Among other things, Lehoussine made gestures indicating an airplane, which prompted Esther Taylor, who was sitting next to him, to ask him if he is travelling first class. Lehoussine excitedly replied: Business class!
Karim Lehoussine: 10?9?8?7?
Aaron Frank: K?K?9?3?
The flop was 5?J?3? and Lehoussine needed a good card on the turn.
It was the 6?, giving him some hope with a wrap. However, the river paired the board, it was the 5?. Lehoussine did not make his straight and was sent to the rail with class. Business class.
