Dan Shak raised to 800 from early position and Erick Lindgren called in middle position while the player in the big blind defended.
Action checked to Lindgren on the Q?9?8? flop where he bet 1,000 and only Shak called.
Both players checked the 6? turn to the 3? river where Shak took over the betting lead, throwing in 2,000. Lindgren sighed and released his hand into the muck, ceding the pot to Shak.
Andrei Konopelko bet 1,600 from under the gun on a flop of 10?9?3? and Skyler Roberts called in early position. Brandy Savage then raised to 3,500 in the small blind and both opponents called.
All three players checked the 4? turn before Konopelko bet 6,500 on the 7? river. Roberts quickly folded, but Savage gave it some thought before also folding after around a minute.
"I would've called in your spot, but not with you behind me," Roberts told Savage.
The next hand, Roberts raised to 600 under the gun before Jeffrey Muncy three-bet to 2,600 in early position. Erick Lindgren called in middle position, as did Konopelko in the big blind and Roberts.
The flop came 4?4?5? and Muncy bet 3,500. Lindgren and Konopelko both called. The 8? turn was checked through and Konopelko bet 12,500 on the 5? river.
Muncy called and Lindgren folded, claiming he had two jacks. Konopelko showed 8?8? for a full house and Muncy tossed Q?Q? into the muck.
Jake Cody and Christopher Grossi went heads-up to the river with the board showing 7?6?2?J?10? when Grossi bet 8,500 from the hijack.
Cody then raised to 20,000 on the button and Grossi came back with a reraise to 48,000. Cody went deep into the tank, pondering the decision for several minutes until he folded.
Gang Zhao bet 3,500 from middle position on a board of Q?9?J?6? and Romain Bailleul called in the hijack. Daniel Samson then raised to 15,000 in the small blind and only Bailleul called.
The river was the 2? and Samson bet 30,000. Bailleul quickly folded.
"I had ace-ten of spades. Just put another spade out there," Bailleul said.
"We're supposed to be playing small, but the pots keep getting bigger and bigger," Samson added.
Jason Daly bet 4,500 from the cutoff on a board of 7?2?10?9? and an opponent in the small blind called. George Dolofan then raised to 15,000 in early position and Daly called, while the small blind got out of the way.
The river was the 5? and Dolofan bet 20,000. Daly quickly called and Dolofan showed 8?6? for a straight.
There was around 10,000 in the pot as four players went to the turn on a board of 10?3?6?J?. Urs Blunier then bet 6,000 from the hijack and was called by the cutoff, Glenn Difurio in early position, and another opponent in middle position.
The river was the 9? and Blunier bet another 8,000. Only Difurio called this time.
"Ace-ten," Blunier said, but Difurio showed K?J? for a pair of jacks as he took the pot.
"I thought for sure somebody had a set," tablemate and 2009 November Niner Steven Begleiter added.
With around 4,000 in the pot on a board of 8?7?9?9?, Hector Berry, who won his first WSOP bracelet in the PokerNews Deepstack Championship earlier this summer, bet 2,200 from the button and Victoria Livschitz called in early position.
The river was the 3? and Berry bet another 5,500. Livschitz called and Berry turned over Q?10? for a missed straight draw. Livschitz showed A?8? as she took the pot with two pair.
Niklas Astedt had a three-bet of 2,800 in front of him from the big blind before Gabriel Nastasa four-bet to 7,300 on the button. Astedt called and they went heads-up to the 5?A?5? flop.
Nastasa bet another 4,400 and Astedt called. Both players then checked the Q? turn.
The river was the K? and Astedt led out for 12,000. Nastasa quickly called and Astedt turned over K?K? for a rivered full house. "Hits the last king on the river," Nastasa said as he threw A?K? into the muck.
"Lucky river," Astedt added as the Swedish online legend took the big pot.
