Welcome back to the Horseshoe and Paris Las Vegas, where the third of four starting flights is set to begin a 12 p.m. local time in Event #81: $10,000 WSOP Main Event No-Limit Hold’em World Championship.

An additional 831 players joined the fray yesterday, brining the total entries for this year's Main Event up to 1,746. Of those, 1,236 managed to find a bag and will be part of the group that reconvenes on Sunday, July 7 for Day 2abc.

George Dolofan emerged as the overall chip leader last night after ending with 314,000 in chips. He joins Day 1a chip leader Joshua Feiger (311,900) as the only other player to cross the 300k mark thus far.

Some notables who bagged big in the first two starting flights include Frank Funaro (265,000), Naoya Kihara (228,000), Connor Drinan (192,000), Erik Seidel (183,000), Phil Galfond (182,000), and 2019 Main Event Champion Hossein Ensan (166,000).

Other Main Event champions who earned a Day 2 berth so far include Jerry Yang (118,800), Koray Aldemir (94,300), Qui Nguyen (39,000), Greg Merson (36,800), and Jim Bechtel (31,300). Should any of these players put on a repeat performance and win again, they would be the first to do so since the legendary Stu Ungar, who won his third Main Event title in 1997. Prior to that, Johnny Chan won back-to-back Main Events in 1987 and 1988.

Starting stacks are 60,000 and players in each of the initial flights will complete five 120-minute levels before bagging for the night. Twenty minute breaks are scheduled after each level and an extended 75-minute dinner break will be held after Level 3. As mentioned, everyone who ends the day with chips will merge with those from 1a and 1b on Sunday, July 7 for Day 2abc.
