The Magic of "Chufty"

Level 10 : 1,000/2,000, 0 ante

Seven-Card Stud

Opponent: {3-Hearts}{2-Hearts} / {8-Hearts}{4-Hearts}{Q-Clubs}{6-Clubs} / {X-}
Richard Ashby: {7-Hearts}{2-Diamonds} / {6-Spades}{10-Spades}{3-Clubs}{K-Diamonds} / {X-}

Towards the end of the day, Richard "Chufty" Ashby showed some magic while Pete Linton walked over to see if the fellow Brit had more chips. Ashby did, but that was partly due to a hand that saw him bust a short stack with a low and ace-king high at the death.

A third player was in the hand as well but folded on fifth street when Ashby raised to force a fold. The player at risk had a low and four-card flush, but would end up with dust as Ashby spiked the {A-Clubs} on seventh for a better low. A blank {9-Spades} was the ultimate brick and Ashby won the high hand with ace-king only.
