Ausmus Can't Call Srinivasan's River Bet

Level 4 : 100/200, 25 ante

"How do you know everyone's names?" asked Shyam Srinivasan after the last hand before the break.

Srinivasan was the main character of the story. In such a huge field, the reporters certainly can't know everyone, but when an online superstar of Srinivasan's capacity takes to the felt, it's likely they'll be buzzing around the table to see what's going on.

More than that, Srinivasan tangled with former November Niner Jeremy Ausmus in the aforementioned hand. Srinivasan later described his opponent quite simply: "He's a sicko."

Their battle was on, with the board reading {K-Clubs}{5-Spades}{6-Hearts}{A-Spades} on the turn. Ausmus, sitting under the gun, checked to Srinivasan (on the button), who fired 1,000 into a pot of about 2,500.

Ausmus called, and they saw the {7-Diamonds} complete the board. Ausmus checked once again, but Srinivasan didn't want to show his cards for free. He set the price at 3,400. Ausmus thought about it for a bit but eventually folded.

Srinivasan counted his chips before he left the room for a break; he'll return to around 20,000. Ausmus is also doing just fine.
