Hands #42-48: Pomponio Chops With Babekov

Level 38 : 300,000/600,000, 75,000 ante

Hand #42: Erkut Yilmaz won the blinds with a raise from the button.

Hand #43: This time Thomas Pomponio raised to 1,300,000 from the button but Taylor Black responded with a shove from the big blind and forced Pomponio out of the pot

Hand #44: It was Mark Babekov's turn to raise from the button and he didn't miss the opportunity. Both players in the blinds folded.

Hand #45: Taylor Black raised, again from the button, and won the hand.

Hand #46: After a series of button-raises, Mark Babekov interrupted the streak when he opened from the second position. Kent Coppock shoved all in for 12,650,000 and, after a little bit of talk, Babekov gave up.

Hand #47: Taylor Black opened the pot with a raise to 1.2 million but Erkut Yilmaz woke up with a three-bet from the small blind, putting the price to 3,000,000. Black folded.

Hand #48: Thomas Pomponio limped from the small blind and Mark Babekov checked to see the flop {A-Spades}{7-Spades}{4-Spades}. Pomponio check-called 800,000 and then check-called another 1,800,000 on the {5-Clubs} turn. The river brought the {4-Diamonds} and Pomponio tapped once again. Babekov didn't fire the third barrel and checked back. Pomponio showed {8-Diamonds}{7-Clubs} and chopped the pot with Babekov, who had {10-Hearts}{7-Diamonds}.

Hand #41: Erkut Yilmaz limped in and Thomas Pomponio checked his option from the big blind. Both players checked on the {Q-Spades}{6-Diamonds}{3-Spades} flop.

The turn was the {4-Spades} Yilmaz bet 650,000 and Pomponio called.

On the {A-Clubs} river, Yilmaz led with a bet of 1,050,000. Pomponio raised to 4,000,000 after a quick thought. Yilmaz then fell deep into the tank and he stayed through for over five minutes. He finally settled on a fold and Pomponio took down the pot.

Hand #40: Ralph Massey raised to roughly 3,500,000, leaving just a bit behind. Next to act, Taylor Black moved all in with a stack that just covered Massey. Action folded around and Massey called.

The board ran out {J-Diamonds}{8-Clubs}{5-Spades}{7-Spades}{J-Hearts} and that kept Black in the lead. He took down the pot and Massey was eliminated in seventh place, collecting $133,975 for his efforts.

Hands #31-37: No flops, Yilmaz Is Active

Hand #31: Mark Babekov took down the pot with a raise to 1.5 million.

Hand #32: Erkut Yilmaz raised to 1.3 million and all of his opponents folded.

Hand #33: Erkut Yilmaz got a walk.

Hand #34: Kent Coppock moved all in and, when he didn't find a customer, he turned over his {A-Clubs}{K-Clubs}

Hand #35: Erkut Yilmaz won another pot with a 1,300,000 raise from the button.

Hand #36: Yilmaz raised to 1.3 million again and it had the same effect as in the previous hand.

Hand #37: Ralph Massey shoved all in from the small blind but Taylor Black didn't find a hand that would suit his calling range. Massey, in return, showed {A-Spades}{10-Spades} and posed for our photographers.

Hand #25: Mark Babekov raised to 1,300,000. Everyone folded and he took down the pot.

Hand #26: Babekov raised to 1,500,000 and that was enough to take down the pot.

Hand #27: Action folded to Erkut Yilmaz. He limped. Thomas Pomponio checked his option.

The flop came {Q-Spades}{J-Diamonds}{7-Spades} and Yilmaz checked. Pomponio bet 900,000. Yilmaz then opted to put in a check-raise to 3,250,000 and Pomponio called.

On the {A-Hearts} river, Yilmaz thought for a moment before announcing that he's all in. Pomponio quickly folded.

Hand #28: Ralph Massey raised to roughly 3,500,000. Action folded around he he took down the pot.

Hand #29: Kent Coppock moved all in and everyone folded, allowing Coppock to scoop the pot.

Hand #30: Yilmaz raised to 1,300,000 and everyone folded, awarding him the pot.

Hands #23-24: Babekov Sees Hanna's Tell

Hand #23: Ralph Massey called from the small blind and, when Taylor Black checked, the dealer revealed the flop {A-Spades}{Q-Spades}{J-Hearts}. Massey shoved and, after Black sent his hand to the muck, he showed {9-Spades}{6-Spades}.

Hand #24: Mark Babekov opened for 1,500,000 and John Hanna flatted from the big blind. They both checked the flop {A-Spades}{7-Hearts}{2-Clubs} but Hanna led for 2,000,000 on the {Q-Hearts} turn. Babekov called and the river was the {Q-Clubs}. Hanna pushed all his chips toward the middle, causing Babekov's request for the count. It was 5,000,000 even.

"I saw the tell, you hit the queen," Babekov said. He folded soon and then stood up, saying, "Good job." Babekov then clapped his hands while Hanna stacked his earned chips.

Hand #12: Mark Babekov finally arrived to take his seat, and Erkut Yilmaz got a walk in the big blind.

Hand #13: Yilmaz completed from the small blind and Pomponio checks. The flop came {A-Hearts}{K-Spades}{3-Diamonds} and both players checked to see the {10-Spades} on the turn. Yilmaz led with a bet of 500,000 and Pomponio called.

On the {10-Hearts} river both players checked. Pomponio showed {K-Clubs}{6-Clubs} and it was good to take down the pot.

Hand #14: Taylor Black opened with a raise to 1 million. Action folded around to Pomponio and he three-bet to 2,525,000.

Babekov looked at his cards. "I don't like this," he said. Then he threw in the chips to call. Black called as well.

The flop came {8-Spades}{6-Spades}{2-Diamonds} and all three players checked. On the {4-Spades} turn, Pomponio bet 3,400,000 and both players folded, awarding him the pot.

Hand #15: Kent Coppock raised and both blinds folded, awarding him the pot.

Hand #16: Ralph Massey moved all in and everyone folded.

Hand #17: Babekov raised to 2,000,000 and everyone folded.

Hand #18: Babekov raised to 2,000,000 and everyone folded again.

Hand #19: Coppock limped from the small blind and Yilmaz checked his option. On the {7-Clubs}{5-Hearts}{5-Spades} flop, Coppock checked to Yilmaz. Yilmaz bet 650,000 and Coppock folded.
