Samoeun Mon Eliminated in 5th Place ($44,388)

Level 26 : 50,000/100,000, 0 ante
Samoeun Mon
Samoeun Mon

Omaha Hi-Lo

Samoeun Mon turned to his rail, saying, "I got nine lives, I got one life left." A few hands later, he ended up losing it.

Mon raised from under the gun, and small blind Jameson Painter three-bet. Mon called off for 145,000 total, and the cards went face-up.

Samoeun Mon: {A-Clubs}{7-Hearts}{7-Diamonds}{3-Spades}
Jameson Painter: {Q-Diamonds}{Q-Spades}{3-Diamonds}{2-Spades}

The {9-Clubs}{8-Clubs}{K-Spades}{J-Spades}{2-Hearts} board missed Mon, and no duck sound was made this time.

Mon couldn't dodge the deadly bullet as he was finally dispatched in fifth place, interrupting a bustout drought of more than two hours. He was rewarded with $44,388 for his performance.

Split Kings Send Painter Over Two Million

Level 26 : 50,000/100,000, 0 ante
Jameson Painter
Jameson Painter

Stud Hi-Lo

Jared Bleznick open-completed to 50,000, and Jameson Painter called. Bleznick bet fourth, fifth, and sixth streets, with Painter calling each time.

Bleznick: {X-}{X-} / {8-Hearts}{5-Diamonds}{6-Spades}{8-Clubs} / {X-}
Painter: {X-}{X-} / {K-Clubs}{9-Diamonds}{5-Spades}{2-Spades} / {X-}

Both players checked seventh, and Bleznick signaled to his board meaning he had a pair of eights. Painter tabled {K-Hearts}{J-Clubs}{7-Diamonds} for a pair of kings, and Bleznick mucked.

With that pot, Painter climbed over the two-million-chip mark as Bleznick dropped to 600,000.

Bleznick Has Sixes in the Hole

Level 26 : 50,000/100,000, 0 ante

Stud Hi-Lo

Jared Bleznick raised with a queen, and Jameson Painter defended the {2-Diamonds}.

Bleznick got a deuce himself on fourth street and bet out again. Painter called before both players checked on fifth street. Sixth street brought another queen for Bleznick, who led out again. Painter called with three low cards on his board, and Bleznick checked the river in the dark. Painter checked back.

Jared Bleznick: {10-Clubs}{6-Diamonds}{6-Hearts} / {Q-Hearts}{2-Spades}{J-Diamonds}{Q-Spades}
Jameson Painter: {X-}{X-}{X-} / {2-Diamonds}{9-Hearts}{3-Hearts}{7-Hearts}

"Two pair," declared Bleznick, scooping the pot.

"Can't Get Rid of Me That Easy"

Level 26 : 50,000/100,000, 0 ante

Stud Hi-Lo

"Strong like a bull, I don't give up," Samoeun Mon said before calling with the {7-Spades} up. Smith Sirisakorn called, as well, and Jameson Painter completed with the {6-Diamonds}. Mon made it two bets, forcing Sirisakorn out of the way. Painter raised again, putting Mon at risk.

Samoeun Mon: {7-Hearts}{5-Spades} / {7-Spades}{4-Spades}{A-Clubs}{K-Diamonds} / {4-Clubs}
Jameson Painter: {3-Clubs}{2-Clubs} / {6-Diamonds}{K-Hearts}{8-Hearts}{7-Diamonds} / {6-Hearts}

Painter made an eighty-seven low, while Mon had sevens up, chopping another pot to stay in the tournament.

"Can't get rid of me that easy!" Mon warned his opponents.
