Hale the King, New Ruler of the Room

Level 13 : 1,000/2,000, 300 ante

Pot-Limit Omaha

Millard Hale just took over the chip lead.

Hale opened under the gun and was called by a player in late position and Ivan Naumov in the small blind.

The flop was {2-Clubs}{a-Hearts}{q-Clubs} and Hale bet. The player in late position raised pot, Naumov repotted, and Hale moved all in. The player in late position called for less and Naumov called, putting them both at risk.

Hale: {a-Diamonds}{a-Spades}{8-Clubs}{k-Diamonds}
Naumov: {q-Spades}{q-Diamonds}{9-Clubs}{3-Diamonds}
Opponent: {4-Spades}{7-Spades}{3-Clubs}{5-Clubs}

Hale and Naumov both flopped monster sets but their opponent had outs. The turn was the {9-Diamonds} changing nothing and the {9-Hearts} on the river sealed the pot for Hale, giving him a full house.

Hale had the player in late position just covered and Naumov was forced to pay Hale's stack of 138,100 as well.
