The final 37 players are set heading into Day 3 of Event #68: $3,000 No-Limit Holdem.

Chance Kornuth leads the way with a massive stack of 1,467,000 chips. Kornuth was the leader after Day 1, and he continued that momentum all the way through today's action. He is in search of his second WSOP gold bracelet and has put himself in prime position get it.

Konstantinos Nanos follows close behind Kornuth, bagging up 1,237,000. Right behind Nanos is Jim Gilbert, bagging 1,174,000 and looking to make his second final table of the summer and, ultimately, win his first gold bracelet.

The other biggest name in the field is none other than Canadian Pro and six-time WSOP bracelet winner, Daniel Negreanu. Negreanu heads into Day 3 with 262,000 chips and is looking to get off to a fresh start as he seemingly wasn't able to get out of the 300,000-chip zone throughout Day 2.

The day started with 348 players returning, and the action was fast and furious out of the gate. Early on, Chance Kornuth maintained his chip lead, and action stayed steady until the money bubble approached around four hours into the day's play. The bubble lasted only one hand during hand-for-hand play, and the unfortunate bubble boy was Salvatore DiCarlo, getting his pocket kings busted by Michael Delvecchio III's pocket tens.

Once the remaining 203 players were in the money, many began to hit the rail, including the likes of Eddy Sabat in 200th place, Joe Cada in 195th, John Racener in 191st, John Monnette in 176th, Bertrand Grospellier in 173rd, Valentin Vornicu in 168th and Ankush Mandavia in 166th.

Other notables to fall in this star studded field were, Dietrich Fast in 155th place, David Pham in 154th, Igor Kurganov in 148th, Jack Salter in 102nd, Griffin Benger in 87th, Andy Frankenberger in 70th, Charlie Carrel in 68th, Dominik Panka in 66th and Dylan Wilkerson in 62nd.

The remaining players are competing for the $645,922 first-place prize and the coveted WSOP gold bracelet, and the final 37 contenders are guaranteed a minimum payout of $13,129.

Stay tuned to PokerNews for all of the live action until a champion has been crowned.
