A Call From the 'Doc'

Level 10 : 800/1,600, 200 ante

A player in the hijack seat opened with a raise to 3,700 and was called by David 'Doc' Sands in the big blind.

The flop came down {9-Hearts}{7-Hearts}{4-Diamonds} and Sands checked over to his opponent who bet 4,000. Sands called.

On the {K-Clubs} turn, Sands checked once more. His opponent put out a bet of 7,000 and Sands called again.

Sands checked one more time on the river then instantly called a bet of 22,000 from his opponent, who turned over {Q-Hearts}{J-Clubs} for the nuts. Sands mucked frustratedly and the other player took in the pot.
