Soika Makes a Big Call

Level 25 : 25,000/50,000, 5,000 ante

From middle position, Jingwei Zhang opened to 110,000. Big blind Ihar Soika called.

The flop was {4-Hearts}{4-Spades}{8-Diamonds}, and Soika checked. Zhang bet 80,000, and Soika check-raised to 230,000. Zhang called in position.

The {K-Hearts} hit the turn, and Soika bet another 230,000. As casual as could be, Zhang raised to 650,000, seemingly grabbing the chips blindly to raise. He was very much aware of what he had raised, though; he clarified it was 650,000 as soon as Soika raised an eyebrow.

Soika called and checked on the {6-Clubs} river. Zhang, again casually, grabbed 600,000 and put them into the middle in one sweeping motion. Soika tanked for about four minutes before he called.

Zhang showed {A-Diamonds}{9-Diamonds} for a bluff gone wrong, and Soika took down the pot, tabling {J-Clubs}{8-Hearts}.

"Wow!" Neil Patel said. "Oh my lord!"
