Jeff Duvall just took a decent pot from Howard Lederer and inched closer to an average-sized chip stack.

"The Professor" made it 1,000 to go from the small blind and Duvall made the call from the big.

The flop came {4-Clubs}

and Lederer fired a continuation bet of 500; Duvall made the call.

Both players checked the {5-Clubs}

on the turn, prompting the dealer to reveal the river card -- the {K-Spades}

Lederer then took one final stab at the pot with a 1,000 bet and Duvall quickly called.
