Hand #107 - Stanislav Alekhin

John Juanda
John Juanda
John Juanda has the button in Seat 5 and makes it 55,000 to go. Stanislav Alekhin makes the call from the big blind and the two go heads up to the flop: {2-Spades} {5-Hearts} {6-Spades}.

Alekhin passes the first option to Juanda on the flop who bets what looks like 100,000 from up here; Alekhin makes the call.

The turn brings the {K-Hearts} and Alekhin checks once more. At this point, Juanda fires again -- this time upping the ante to 200,000. Alekhin takes another look at his hole cards before eventually making the call.

Fifth street delivers the {3-Hearts} and 'The Russian' checks to Juanda, who counts out 340,000 in chips and slides them into the middle. Stanislav stuns the crowd by announcing that he's 'All in,' as members of the studio audience rise to their feet, as does Juanda who now faces a make-it or break-it decision.

Ultimately, Juanda sat back down and folded his cards, sending the massive pot to the now-uncontested chip leader, Stanislav Alekhin. Chip counts soon to follow.
