Taking a Shot

When I was a wee nipper in the upper tier of the Holte End, I used to sing "Tony Cascarino in the air", but today I'd be singing "Tony Cascarino has air" as he the former International footballer goes crashing out against not one, but two pairs of aces.

It was actually Cascarino who kicked off the action, raising with {10-Hearts}{Q-Hearts}{8-Spades}{K-Spades}. After a raise and an all in behind, he decided to take a gamble at a monster pot, and at least hope his suits were alive. Unfotunately, they were dead as an decapitated dodo as his opponents revealed {A-Diamonds}{8-Hearts}{A-Hearts}{6-Diamonds} and {A-Spades}{K-Diamonds}{2-Spades}{A-Clubs}.

Although the {Q-Clubs}{4-Diamonds}{9-Diamonds} flop, and then the {7-Spades} turn threatened a sneaky straight, the {3-Spades} river was a blank and aces held to chop it up. There a slight kafuffle as the pot was being organised with players dipping their hands into the pot uninvited and others roaring when an error was being made, but the dealer remain composed - despite having several people shouting at him at once - to allocate the players the correct pots.

Sadly, Cascarino received the smallest, and now has just 875 left.
