October Niner Sends Alekberovas to the Rail

Jesse Sylvia opened for 5,000 under the gun and received a call from Dan Smith in middle position. Anaras Alekberovas then three-bet to 25,000 from the button, leaving just 3,900 behind, and Sylvia made the call. Smith got out of the way and it was heads-up action to the {8-Hearts}{3-Spades}{K-Clubs} flop. Sylvia wasted little time in leading out for 5,000 and Alekberovas called off.

Showdown
Sylvia: {10-Spades}{10-Hearts}
Alekberovas: {A-Clubs}{J-Hearts}

Neither the {9-Spades} turn nor {4-Hearts} river helped the young Lithuanian, and he was eliminated just shy of the first break.
