Lykov Takes a Hefter Hit

Level 13 : 1,000/2,000, 300 ante

Joining the action on the {Q-Hearts}{4-Clubs}{2-Hearts}{A-Diamonds} turn, Ryan Hefter checked out of the small blind and Maxim Lykov bet 7,000 into a pot of 16,000. Hefter called and checked again the {6-Clubs} on the river. Lykov moved all in and Hefter took some consideration before calling it off for his last 34,500.

Lykov showed {K-Spades}{9-Hearts} for a bluff and Hefter doubled with the {A-Hearts}{10-Hearts} for top pair. Once the dominating chip leader not long ago, Lykov suddenly dropped back into the middle of the pack while Jeff Cormier and Darren Delahunty on the same table are now in the lead in the penultimate level of the night.
