Buchta Takes then Gives It Away

Level 7 : 250/500, 75 ante

With just under 5,000 in the pot, the flop fell {8-Spades}{7-Clubs}{2-Spades}. The action was checked around to Mario Scholz on the button who bet 3,600. Simon Buchta called from the big blind and the player in early position called as well.

The turn landed the {4-Hearts} and both players checked to Scholz again. He fired another 4,000 and was called by both players. The river was the {10-Hearts} and all three players checked. Buchta was first to show and tabled {9-Clubs}{6-Clubs} for a rivered straight to take down the pot.

In the next hand, Georgios Zisimopoulos raised to 1,200 from the hijack and Buchta called from the small blind. The flop came {a-Diamonds}{q-Hearts}{7-Diamonds} and both players checked to the {9-Spades} on the turn. Buchta checked again and Zisimopoulos bet 1,500. Buchta called and the {q-Diamonds} paired the board on the river. Buchta checked again and Zisimopoulos made a large bet of 7,500. Buchta thought for a moment but still made the call. Zisimopoulos turned over {q-Spades}{9-Clubs} for a full house to take down the pot.
