Hakim Crippled After Tough Beat

Level 6 : 300/600, 100 ante
Jeffrey Hakim
Jeffrey Hakim

Jeff Hakim was deep in the tank when we got to his table. He had bet 10,500 from the button and Jon Kalmar was all in with {q-Hearts}{k-Clubs}{10-Clubs}{2-Clubs} on the board. It was 56,400 and Hakim thought for a couple of minutes before an agitated player demanded a clock. Hakim disputed the clock call, saying he had only been thinking two minutes and it was a huge pot. Eventually, Dan Shak succeeded in calming the player down and he rescinded the clock call.

Moments later, Hakim called.

Hakim: {a-Spades}{j-Clubs}
Kalmar: {k-Spades}{q-Clubs}

Kalmar moved to exit but the dealer burned and turned a {7-Clubs} to give him a flush. Hakim could only shake his head.
