A Runaway Train

Level 23 : 10,000/25,000, 25,000 ante
Asi Moshe
Asi Moshe

Asi Moshe raised to 55,000 in the cutoff with {8-Hearts}{6-Spades} and James Bullimore just called with {a-Diamonds}{j-Hearts} on the button. The flop came {5-Hearts}{3-Hearts}{2-Spades} and Moshe continued for 80,000 which Bullimore called.

The {4-Diamonds} on the turn gave both players a straight and Moshe slid in another bet of 160,000. Bullimore still called and the {4-Clubs} paired the board on the river. Moshe reached back for a bet of 498,000 and Bullimore went into the tank. After a couple of minutes, he eventually laid his hand down and Moshe extended his lead.

"Did you fold an ace?" Moshe asked.

"Yeah," Bullimore confirmed.

"You're supposed to call with an ace," Moshe said with a laugh.

Viktor Katzenberger Eliminated in 6th Place (€10,852)

Level 23 : 10,000/25,000, 25,000 ante
Viktor Katzenberger
Viktor Katzenberger

Viktor Katzenberger raised to 55,000 from the cutoff with {8-Clubs}{7-Clubs}. Asi Moshe picked up {J-Hearts}{J-Spades} in the small blind and three-bet to 215,000. Katzenberger counted out his stack, asked how much the three-bet was, then called to see a flop.

Katzenberger outflopped Moshe on the {8-Diamonds}{7-Hearts}{6-Hearts} flop by flopping top two pair. Moshe, with the overpair, checked to the Hungarian. Katzenberger decided to shove all in for 822,000, almost twice the size of the pot, and Moshe went deep in the tank. He seemed unpleased with the situation and thought for minutes.

"You want a call or do you not want a call?" Moshe asked after spending nearly five minutes in the tank. Katzenberger didn't respond and Moshe eventually made the call.

Moshe was a 2:1 dog, but the {J-Diamonds} fell on the turn to seal the hand instantly for the Israeli, making the {Q-Diamonds} river a mere formality. Katzenberger said his goodbyes in 6th place and went off to the payout desk to collect his sixth place prize of €10,852.
