Late Double for Lawrie

Level 18 : 4,000/8,000, 0 ante
Edward Lawrie
Edward Lawrie

Stanislav Parkhomenko was eliminated during the last hands of the night while Chris Ferguson and Edward Lawrie doubled.

Lawrie was all in for 34,000 with {A-Diamonds}{A-Spades}{K-Diamonds}{8-Spades} and Tarek Alonso called with the {Q-Diamonds}{J-Diamonds}{10-Spades}{8-Diamonds}. The {K-Clubs}{9-Diamonds}{6-Clubs} flop was a sweat as Alonso had plenty of outs. He improved to a straight on the {Q-Diamonds} turn, but Lawrie made the nut flush with the {3-Diamonds} river to double.
