Lalwani is the First to Hit the Rail

Rakesh Lalwani

Rakesh Lalwani opened to 500 from under the gun and was called by Maksym Lavrov on the button. Sebastian Kos re-raised to 3,600 in the small blind and both Lalwani and Lavrov called.

The flop came {9-Clubs}{8-Diamonds}{3-Clubs} and the action checked to Lavrov who bet 5,000. Kos folded but Lalwani called to see the {q-Spades} on the turn. Lalwani checked again and Lavrov asked how much Lalwani had behind before betting enough to put him at risk for his last 11,500 chips. Lalwani called and the cards were tabled.

Lavrov turned over {8-Spades}{8-Clubs} for a set of eights and Lalwani was drawing dead with the {9-Spades}{7-Spades}. The insignificant {4-Spades} landed on the river and Lalwani packed up his things before heading to the rail.
