Zoufri Collects a Big Pot with a Big Call

Level 12 : 2,000/4,000, 4,000 ante

A large pot was brewing on Table 98 with three players still active in the hand on a completed board of {4-Clubs}{3-Diamonds}{2-Diamonds}{q-Hearts}{6-Spades}. With around 300,000 already in the middle, Rifat Palevic led out with a bet of 100,000 in the small blind.

Jakob Madsen was in the tank from the big blind and eventually let his hand go. Abdelhakim Zoufri was next to act and also gave it some thought. Zoufri dropped in a call for the majority of his stack and Palevic flipped over {8-Diamonds}{4-Diamonds} for a pair and missed flush draw. Zoufri held {k-Diamonds}{q-Diamonds} for a larger pair and was awarded the pot.
