Eljach Chops To Stay Alive

Level 19 : 20,000/40,000, 40,000 ante

Ermanno Di Nicola raised from under the gun and folded when Vasil Medarov potted in the small blind, as Omar Eljach also folded to remain with just 120,000 for the next hand.

Medarov then potted on the button and Eljach called all-in, Di Nicola called out of the big blind. The {a-Clubs}{10-Spades}{5-Hearts}{10-Hearts}{5-Clubs} board was checked through and Eljach chopped with {a-Spades}{k-Clubs}{q-Clubs}{4-Hearts} as Di Nicola had the {a-Diamonds}{k-Hearts}{9-Spades}{8-Hearts}, Medarov mucked {a-Hearts}{q-Diamonds} for the inferior kicker.

Another Double for Medarov

Level 19 : 20,000/40,000, 40,000 ante

Armando D'Avanzo raised to 125,000 on the button and called a pot-sized three-bet to 395,000 by Vasil Medarov in the big blind. Medarov essentially jammed in the dark for 185,000 prior to the {9-Clubs}{8-Hearts}{5-Hearts} and D'Avanzo called.

Vasil Medarov: {q-Clubs}{j-Clubs}{10-Diamonds}{8-Diamonds}
Armando D'Avanzo: {k-Diamonds}{q-Diamonds}{10-Spades}{5-Clubs}

The {3-Spades} turn and {6-Hearts} river kept Medarov in contention as his pair of eights beat D'Avanzo's pair of fives.

Patrik Jaros Eliminated in 12th Place (12,742)

Level 19 : 20,000/40,000, 40,000 ante
Patrik Jaros
Patrik Jaros

Maximilian Klostermeir and Patrik Jaros, who was at risk, got their stacks in on the {a-Clubs}{6-Hearts}{5-Spades} flop.

Patrik Jaros: {10-Spades}{4-Hearts}{3-Diamonds}{2-Hearts}
Maximilian Klostermeier: {k-Hearts}{8-Hearts}{7-Hearts}{6-Clubs}

Both players had a plethora of straight draws but it would be the chip leader who who would hit the {3-Spades} turn the hardest. Jaros, still live, failed to connect on the {a-Hearts} and hit the rail in twelfth-place.

Level 19 : 20,000/40,000, 40,000 ante
Tonny Krijn
Tonny Krijn

The action started with a raise to 140,000 by Patrik Jaros and he was called by Tonny Krijn in the hijack, Maximilian Klostermeier on the button and table short stack Bjorn Verbakel in the big blind. On the {j-Hearts}{7-Diamonds}{2-Spades} flop, Verbakel jammed for 55,000 and so did Jaros for 200,000.

Krijn called it off for fewer than Jaros' stack and Klostermeier got out of the way.

Bjorn Verbakel: {q-Spades}{7-Hearts}{6-Hearts}{4-Diamonds}
Tonny Krijn: {10-Clubs}{8-Diamonds}{8-Clubs}{6-Diamonds}
Patrik Jaros: {k-Hearts}{k-Clubs}{j-Diamonds}{8-Spades}

The {5-Clubs} turn and {6-Spades} river gave Verbakel two pair and he more than tripled up while Krijn was eliminated in 13th place, losing the side pot to Jaros.

Krijrn Makes Correct Fold

Level 19 : 20,000/40,000, 40,000 ante

Maximilian Klostermeier opened to 90,000 in early position and only Tonny Krijn called in the small blind.

Action went check-check on the {k-Clubs}{8-Spades}{4-Clubs} flop to the {q-Hearts} turn. Krijn bet 140,000 and was called.

Krijn fired again for 250,000 leaving just 270,000 behind. Klostermeier then moved all-in putting Krijn at risk.

Krijn writhed in his seat and asked his opponent "will you show if I fold?." Klostermeier remained silent.

"Smells like queens," Krijn added before folding and showing his {k-Diamonds}{8-Hearts} for the flopped top two pair.

Krijn's read was bang on the money as Klostermeier flashed {q-}{q-}.

Level 19 : 20,000/40,000, 40,000 ante

In a limped battle of the blinds, Armando D'Avanzo checked the {a-Clubs}{a-Diamonds}{7-Spades} flop and Krzysztof Magott bet 40,000 for his table neighbour to call. The {j-Clubs} turn was checked by D'Avanzo once more and Magott now led for 105,000. D'Avanzo check-raised to 300,000 to receive a snap-fold and showed a red queen-high bluff combo, to which both players bumped fists with a smile on their faces.
