"A Good Card" for Tann

Willie Tann & Praz Bansi
Willie Tann & Praz Bansi

Willie Tann has enjoyed more doubles than a twin convention, and his last encounter provided the same result.

Coming over the top of Ilan Rouah's open, the chip leader made the call to bring us to a showdown.

Tann: {A-Clubs}{Q-Spades}
Rouah: {5-Spades}{5-Diamonds}

With Phil Laak lurking, the dealer rolled out a {J-Spades}{8-Diamonds}{6-Diamonds} flop.

"The jack was a good card," commentated Laak. "The eight and six, not so much."

Turn: {Q-Clubs}

"Yaaay," celebrated Tann. "That's a good card, buddy."

A five-less {8-Spades} river later and the pot was Tann's. He remains one of the short-stacks, but slightly less short-stacked than he was before with 65,000.
