Day 2 of the PartyPoker World Poker Tour Prague took place on Thursday, and after another six levels of play, the chip leader is Marco Lang. Lang bagged 694,000 chips, which leads the remaining 78 players. Play ended just six spots shy of the money as the top 72 finishers will receive a minimum of $6,515.

During Level 12, Lang eliminated Stanislav Barshak, padding to his stack. In a three-way all in, Barshak had 3x3x, an unknown player had AxQx, and Lang had QxQx. The queens held, and Lang crossed the 500,000-chip threshold.

Also finishing with a massive stack was 2011 World Series of Poker Europe Main Event champion Elio Fox. In one of the final hands of the evening, with the blinds at 1,500/3,000/500, Michael Timex McDonald opened to 6,000 from under the gun, a player on the button called, and Fox three-bet to 22,000 from the small blind. McDonald four-bet to 42,000, the player on the button folded, and Fox moved all in. McDonald called with the 10?10?, Fox rolled over the A?A?, and the board came Q?9?3?2?4?. McDonald was eliminated, while Fox soared to 570,000 chips.

Other notables who survived the day include Elisabeth Hille, Kevin MacPhee, Mike Gagliano, Fabian Quoss, Byron Kaverman, Manuel Bevand, Lars Bonding and Jason Mercier. During Level 14, Hille doubled up through 2010 WSOP Main Event champion Jonathan Duhamel.

With the blinds at 1,200/2,400/400, Duhamel opened to 4,800 from under the gun. Hille called in middle position, the big blind defended, and the flop came A?6?2?. All three players knuckled and the turn brought the J?. The big blind checked, Duhamel fired 7,500, and Hille raised to 18,000. Only Duhamel called. The K? completed the board, Duhamel checked, and Hille moved all in for 41,600. Duhamel called, then mucked when Hille turned over two black jacks for a set.

Duhamel was later eliminated by Alexander Lakhov.

Joining Duhamel and McDonald on the rail were a host of friendly faces, including Faraz Jaka, Leo Margets, Eugene Katchalov, Heinz Kamutzki, Mohsin Charania, John Eames and Thor Hansen. Hansen was all-in preflop during Level 12 with the A?7?, but lost a race to Shorr who had pocket fives. Jaka, like Duhamel and McDonald, fell during the last level of play. He was all-in with Qx10x on an Jx8xXxAx board, and his opponent was WPT Champions Club member Dmitry Gromov, who held Ax8x. Jaka was unable to bink the gutterball, and he hit the rail.
