Connor "blanconegro" Drinan Wins Fourth PokerStars SCOOP Title, Ties Overall Record

It's already been an incredible PokerStars 2020 Spring Championship Of Online Poker (SCOOP) for Connor "blanconegro" Drinan and last night, he made it even more special. Drinan won his fourth SCOOP-title in a single series, tying Shaun "shaundeeb" Deeb for the all-time record. "blanconegro" ended on top of Event 56-H: $1,050 HORSE for $30,231 for his fifth overall career title.

Mirza "zazano" Muhovic Wins SCOOP 57-H: $5,200 NLHE ($201,606), Veldhuis Seventh

PokerStars ambassador Lex Veldhuis streamed the action to tens of thousands of followers on Twitch.

Another champion has been crowned during the 2020 Spring Championship Of Online Poker (SCOOP) and it was Mirza "zazano" Muhovic that emerged victoriously in SCOOP-57-H: $5,200 NLHE High Roller to earn the biggest slice out of the $1,000,000 prize pool.

Out of a field of 184 entries filled with some of the biggest names in poker, Muhovic had to overcome a tough final table which he entered as the chip leader and never once lost the top spot for the remainder of the tournament. In heads-up, Muhovic defeated Joel "Odonkor1" Nordkvist to earn a payday of $201,606 while Nordkvist had to settle for $155,222 and his second runner-up finish within a week.

At least one further player from the Benelux country already earned SCOOP title as far back as 2011 when "flashdisastr" came out on top of Event 12-H $2,600 No-Limit Hold��em [Knockout] to win the first title for Luxembourg. For Muhovic it was also the second final table of the current festival as he finished in 5th place out of 285 entries in SCOOP-35-H: $2,100 6-Max NLHE for a payday of $32,843.91 on Day 9 of the 2020 SCOOP.

Among the finalists were also Jon "apestyles" Van Fleet, poker coach and streamer Benjamin "bencb789" Rolle, Job "DeadNylan" Greben and PokerStars ambassador Lex "L. Veldhuis" Veldhuis, who eventually finished in 7th place while streaming all the action on his Twitch channel.

"CatLover666" Wins the 2020 SCOOP58-H: $2,100 NLHE [Heads-Up]

Dominik "Bounatirou" Nitsche made it to the semi-finals

Just three and a half hours of play were enough for Day 2 of the PokerStars 2020 SCOOP-58-H: $2,100 NLHE [Heads-Up] to end and crown a winner. "CatLover666" is the only player who managed to stay unbeatable during the course of two days with heads-up matches and win his first SCOOP title along with $71,400. The tournament had 119 entries and "CatLover666" prevailed in seven heads-up matches in total to win the lion's share of the $238,000 prize pool.

The Finnish player had to beat tough opponents on his way to the first place, such as Joris "BillLewinsky" Ruijs and Dominik "Bounatirou" Nitsche, while he beat "Grindation" in the final heads-up.

Connor "blanconegro" Drinan was eliminated in the quarter-finals, but, as spoiled already, went on to the $1,050 HORSE to close that one out.

"Pimmss" Tops the Field on Day 1 of SCOOP-62-H: $5,200 NLHE [8-Max, PKO, High Roller]

This past Monday, the Netherlands�� ��Pimmss�� outlasted a field of 965 in SCOOP Event #43-H, a $2,100 Progressive Knockout tournament for a total prize of over $190,000. Three days later, "Pimmss" leads the final 27 of Event #62-H [8-Max, PKO, High Roller] $1M Gtd, taking a stack of 6.57 million into the money for Friday��s Day 2.

The tournament generated 235 entries from 172 players to result in a total prize pool of $1,175,000. It took just over seven hours of play for that number to reach 27, with Day 1 ending upon reaching the money. All remaining players have $6,105 guaranteed as a result, and Friday��s winner will earn $101,026 plus a substantial amount more in bounties.

��Pimmss�� has already amassed $18,750 in bounties, but will have a full day's worth of work ahead if they are to win their second SCOOP PKO title in a week. The names that follow in the counts provide just a glimpse into the caliber of players that filled the tournament. Juan ��Malaka$tyle�� Pardo (5.55 million) and Preben ��prebz�� Stokkan (5.51 million) are the only other two players above 5 million, and Niklas ��Lena900�� Astedt (4.72 million) and Pieter ��XMorphineX�� Aerts round out the top five, with Astedt making it through on his second bullet of the tournament.

SCOOP 62-M: $530 NLHE PKO Thursday Thrill SE in Full Swing

With a few minutes left in Level 24, Day 1 of the PokerStars 2020 Spring Championship of Online Poker 62-M: $530 NLHE PKO Thursday Thrill SE finished with 190 players making it through to Day 2. The first four and a half hours of the tournament attracted 3,094 entries to the $1,000,000 guarantee to end up surpassing it by more than 50% as the total prize pool tallied up to be $1,547,000.

Taking the Day 1 chip lead honors is "gnetaren" from Sweden with 4,542,547 in chips. "gnetaren" only jumped into the top ten of the counts during the last hour of the day and ended up on top. they are no stranger to deep runs in tournaments with the PKO-format as they took down the Turbo Series 12: $530 NLHE [6-Max, Progressive KO] back in 2018 for example.

Second in the counts is a familiar name: Sven "SvenCalls" McDermott with 4,410,946 in his Day 2 "bag". McDermott scooped a big pot just before the end of the day when he collected the bounties of "marlin5555" and "trisgaudi" when he held pocket jacks. He was up against the ace-king of "marlin5555" and king-queen of "trisgaudi".

Connor "blanconegro" Drinan defeated Mike "goleafsgoeh" Leah heads-up to tie Shaun Deeb's record of four victories in a single SCOOP. Drinan received $30,233 for defeated a field of 139 players.

Drinan followed up on his victory in SCOOP 40-H: $5,200 PLO just a few days ago. Drinan has now amassed over $11 million in lifetime winnings on the live felt (according to The Hendon Mob) and over $7 million under his moniker "blanconegro" on PokerStars.
