2022 WSOP Day 35: Another Huge Day of Main Event Action
Day 35 of the 2022 World Series of Poker at Bally's and Paris Las Vegas saw only three events in play but what a trio of tournaments they were. The final two flights of the exciting $1,000 Million Dollar Bounty concluded, leaving the surviving players with a chance of drawing a $1 million bounty prize, the $10,000 Pot-Limit Omaha Championship reached its final five, and the Main Event saw more than 1,200 fresh players enter the mix.

Another 1,245 Players Buy Into the 2022 WSOP Main Event
Day 1B of the 2022 WSOP Main Event is in the bag with the 1,245 entrants almost halved to 634 survivors after five levels of action at Bally's and Paris Las Vegas. The total attendance currently stands at 2,145 with two flights remaining. The interest in the Main Event is so great that the WSOP officials have made a change to the schedule in order to accommodate what could be record numbers.
Patrick Hagenlocher (lead image) of Queens, New York, finished Day 1b of the Main Event with 332,800 chips, which put him in first-place overall. Hagenlocher does not play many live tournaments but you would never have guessed that by the way he stormed to the top of the chip counts. This is the third time Hagenlocher has played in poker's "Big Dance" but he has never progressed further than Day 3. Perhaps that is set to change?
Bagging up a top ten stack were seasoned grinders Ognjen Sekularec (223,200), and Germany's Paul Michaelis (213,700), the latter being a WSOP bracelet winner.
As you can imagine, dozens of household names made it through to Day 2abc. Michael Gagliano (167,000), Dutch star Luuk Gieles (153,800), serial WSOP casher Roland Israelashvili (149,000), and Andre Akkari (126,600) each bagged up more than 125,000 chips with the average stack hovering over 111,000.
Eugene Katchalov (106,300), 2013 WSOP Main Event finalist Sylvain Loosli (99,600), Ben Heath (89,500), David Williams (65,900), Gianluca Speranza (55,100), Erik Seidel (53,500), and Vitaly Lunkin (24,900) also navigated their way through to the next stage.
Day 1c shuffles up and deals at 11:00 a.m. local time and should see an even larger number of player enter the fray.
