Bobtail Straight
1) Same as an Open End Straight. Four cards to a straight in denomination sequence. 2)A nonstandard hand, four cards to a straight, that ranks higher than one pair and lower than a four-card flush.
Usage:
Like in sentence "If you have a bobtail straight, such as 8-7-6-5, the odds are 39-to-8 or almost 5-to-1 against filling it, for there are only eight cards that will help you (in this case, the four nines and the four fours)."
