A Bit About the Structure

Today's tournament rotates between three stud games-- stud high, stud eight or better, and Razz. Or, as we like to call it here at the Poker News desk "H.O.R.S.E. without the H.O."

The game changes with each level-- 40 minutes of stud high, followed by 40 minutes of stud eight or better, followed by 40 minutes of junk-kicking... oh sorry, I mean Razz.

The game has just turned over to stud 8. The ante is 10, the bring-in is 10, and the betting limits are 30-60.

Mr. Strong

Mr. Strong
Paul Taylor is Mr. Strong today. Everyday, he wears a different themed shirt. Yesterday it was Mr. Happy. Two days ago, it was Mr. Grumpy. He's hoping that Mr. Strong will do much better today.

Wheel No Goot for Gobbo

Jimmy "Gobboboy" Fricke hit a wheel on sixth street, but unfortunately, his opponent hit a king-high straight at the same time. Gobbo took a small hit there, but it's still very early.

More Familiar Faces

James "Welcome Back" Potter, Paul Khoury, David Bach, Graeme "Kiwi G" Putt, and 2007 WSOP-Europe H.O.R.S.E. bracelet winner Thomas Bihl are all in today's field.

The Peter Aristadou Experience

Peter Aristadou just found out that he's the most experinced Stud player at his table... and this is his second ever Stud-related tournament.

This seems to be common among a lot of the runners in today's event. Due to the lower buy-in price of $500, the event has attracted several curious players with limited experience in Seven-card Stud.

Tables of Doom

A couple of players have arrived late. Jimmy "Gobboboy" Fricke found himself at a table with Lee "Final Table" Nelson, Rich Holmes, Paul Taylor, and Eric Assadourian.
