Pierre Mothes
Pierre Mothes

Pierre Mothes has really woken up since he hit that double up. He raised to 95,000 only to be faced with a three-bet from Hauke Heseding to 250,000.

Mothes replied by making it 510,000 to go and Heseding gave up. Mothes showed {A-Clubs}{Q-Hearts}

A Series of All-Ins and Folds

Level 26 : 20,000/40,000, 5,000 ante

John Taramas moved all-in from the small blind and Pierre Mothes folded in the big blind.

Zimnan Ziyard raised to 80,000 in early position and Pierre Mothes moved all-in from the butoon and Ziyard folded.

Mothes Doubles With a Pierre

Zimnan Ziyard raised to 80,000 before John Taramas raised to 185,000 next to him, Pierre Mothes then snap-shoved all in within a second and it was folded all the way back to Taramas.

The push was for 730,000 and after about a minute Taramas made the call.

Mothes: {Q-Hearts}{Q-Spades}
Taramas: {K-Diamonds}{8-Diamonds}

Mothes was shocked, "Wow......please....K-8? What a call, this is so sick....please hold."

The flop was {8-Hearts}{5-Clubs}{2-Hearts} and Mothes could barely watch, calling for another heart but the turn was the {10-Clubs} - the German ran off to his, not being able to look.

The {4-Diamonds} came on the river and Mothes loudly celebrated.

Mothes Moves Lower in the Counts

After just losing 225,000 to Hauke Heseding in a pre flop raise/fold situation, Mothes has lost further ground.

He raised to 90,000 from the cutoff and Andras Kovacs called in the big blind. The flop was {Q-Spades} {10-Spades} {6-Clubs} and both players checked.Our next card was the {3-Clubs} and Kovacs bet 110,000 before Mothes raised it up to 250,000. When the action fell back to Kovacs he took his time before making the call. The final card was the {8-Spades} and Kovacs bet 250,000. Mothes took his hood off and shook his head.

"You have a flush draw?" Mothes asked before folding his hand.

Charalampos Kapernopoulos Eliminated in 7th Place (40,300)

Charalampos Kapernopoulos
Charalampos Kapernopoulos

Charalampos Kapernopoulos moved all in for about 500,000 preflop from early position, Hauke Heseding called in middle position and everyone else scurried for the hills.

Kapernopoulos: {J-Hearts}{10-Clubs}
Heseding: {K-Diamonds}{K-Clubs}

Kapernopoulos was in real trouble and need a lot of help, the poker gods (with a sense of humour) put of a flop of {K-Clubs}{Q-Hearts}{8-Spades} making Heseding a set but giving Kapernopoulos a straight draw which had some Greek shout in the audience for a nine or ace.

The {J-Clubs} on the turn changed nothing, leaving Kapernopoulos with just one card left to save his tournament life, but the river was the {8-Spades} and Heseding made kings full and we're down to six players.

Mario Puccini Eliminated in 8th Place (27,000)

Mario Puccini
Mario Puccini

Florian Schleps raised to 80,000 on the button and Mario Puccini reraised all in from the small blind, back to Schleps who quickly called.

Schleps: {A-Clubs}{8-Hearts}
Puccini: {K-Spades}{Q-Spades}

Schleps had a slight lead going in and the board ran out {10-Hearts}{10-Clubs}{4-Spades}{7-Hearts}{7-Diamonds} - neither player improving and Puccini became our first player to be eliminated today.
