Grafton Exits Prior to the Money

Level 16 : 3,000/6,000, 6,000 ante
Sam Grafton
Sam Grafton

Nazim Shala opened to 15,000 in early position and Sam Grafton three-bet shoved all in for 127,000 in the small blind. Shala asked for a count and then flicked in a chip to call.

Nazim Shala: {9-Spades}{9-Clubs}
Sam Grafton: {8-Spades}{8-Diamonds}

Grafton wasn't feeling too confident after seeing the cards but Shala ensured him that he still had some hope with two outs. However, the flop of {a-Clubs}{k-Hearts}{9-Diamonds} gave Shala a set of nines and Grafton was nearly drawing dead. The {j-Clubs} on the turn locked up the pot for Shala and Grafton exited after the {j-Spades} on the river.

Michael Soyza

Michael Soyza moved all in for 102,500 from under the gun and the action folded around to Francesco Delfoco in the small blind. Delfoco slid out a call and the big blind folded.

Francesco Delfoco: {a-Spades}{q-Spades}
Michael Soyza: {6-Hearts}{6-Clubs}

Soyza was happy to see that it was a coin flip but the flop of {q-Hearts}{10-Hearts}{8-Spades} put Delfoco in the lead. The {2-Diamonds} on the turn and the {5-Clubs} on the river spelled the end to Soyza who said goodbye to his tablemates.

Gianluca Speranza
Gianluca Speranza

One player opened to 6,000 and got calls from Michael Soyza in the cutoff and Omar Lakhdari in the small blind. Gianluca Speranza was in the big blind and three-bet to 32,500. The initial raiser and Soyza both folded and Lakhdari four-bet all in. Speranza called.

Omar Lakhdari: {10-Hearts}{10-Diamonds}
Gianluca Speranza: {a-Diamonds}{q-Spades}

Speranza was all in for 138,000 and flopped an ace on the {5-Clubs}{a-Hearts}{4-Clubs} flop to take the lead. The {3-Hearts} turn had Lakhdari calling for a deuce but the river {9-Clubs} secured the double for Speranza.

Deyra Eliminates van Hoof

Level 11 : 1,000/2,000, 2,000 ante
Jorryt van Hoof
Jorryt van Hoof

The action folded to Ivan Deyra who raised it up on the button. Jorryt van Hoof three-bet shoved all in for just less than a starting stack from the small blind. Deyra quickly stuck in a call and they were off to the races.

Ivan Deyra: {a-Hearts}{9-Hearts}
Jorryt van Hoof: {8-Hearts}{8-Diamonds}

The flop of {a-Spades}{q-Clubs}{3-Spades} gave Deyra a pair of aces and the lead. The {10-Diamonds} on the turn nor the {2-Diamonds} on the river would help van Hoof who was eliminated.

Skhulukhiya and Schwippert Early Eliminations

Level 11 : 1,000/2,000, 2,000 ante
Jan-Eric Schwippert
Jan-Eric Schwippert

Jan-Eric Schwippert shoved blind on blind for just 20,000 and Michael Soyza called in the big blind.

Jan-Eric Schwippert: {k-Spades}{q-Clubs}
Michael Soyza: {a-Diamonds}{10-Diamonds}

The Malaysian woke up with a suited ace and the flop came {10-Clubs}{10-Hearts}{q-Hearts} giving him trip tens. The turn {a-Clubs} completed his full house and the river {3-Hearts} eliminated Schwippert.

Meanwhile on a {10-Spades}{4-Spades}{3-Diamonds} board, Giorgiy Skhulukhiya had moved all in for around 35,000 and Tsugunari Toma called. Skhulukhiya showed {10-Hearts}{2-Hearts} for top pair, but was out-kicked by Toma with {k-Clubs}{10-Clubs}.

The turn {3-Hearts} threatened a chop but the {8-Diamonds} bricked and Skhulukhiya was sent packing.

Welcome Back for Day 2 of the €10,300 EPT High Roller

Sam Greenwood
Sam Greenwood

It's the penultimate day of the 2019 PokerStars EPT Prague festival and outside of the Main Event taking place, the €10,300 EPT High Roller will grab the most attention. It is one of the more lucrative high-roller events on the schedule and one that many players look forward to. Day 1 saw a total of 245 entries - 190 players and 55 re-entries - with just 117 players making it through to Day 2.

After the opening 10 levels, it was Omar Lakhdari who bagged up the chip lead with an impressive 330,000 chips. He will return to the felt with a slight lead over Sam Greenwood who is no stranger to winning high-roller events. Greenwood made a late charge for the chip lead but fell just short with 304,000 chips. Jun Obara (282,000), Dimitar Danchev (264,000), and Arsenii Karmatckii (254,500) round out the top five counts.

The action is scheduled to resume at 12:30 p.m. local time with the blinds at 1,000/2,000 and a 2,000 big blind ante. Late registration will officially be closed when the cards go in the air, allowing players one last chance to enter the field or use their allotted one re-entry.

Another 10 levels are expected to be played today with each level running 60 minutes. There will be a 20-minute break after every two levels and a 75-minute dinner break after the sixth level. Each player will be given an additional six time extensions to begin the day.

The PokerNews live reporting team will be back on the tournament floor to bring you all of the live updates on route to reaching the money today. Our coverage will continue through to tomorrow where a champion will be crowned.
