Brewer Takes From Watson

Level 2 : 500/1,000, 1,000 ante

Joining the action on the {j-Diamonds}{9-Clubs}{2-Clubs}{2-Spades} turn, Mike Watson and Chris Brewer both invested 12,000 each to see the {q-Diamonds} on the river. Watson checked and Brewer quickly checked behind to get shown the {a-Clubs}{3-Clubs} for the busted nut flush draw by Watson. Brewer had that beat with the {a-Diamonds}{j-Hearts} and claimed the pot.

Petrangelo Doubles Through Chidwick

Level 2 : 500/1,000, 1,000 ante
Nick Petrangelo
Nick Petrangelo

The action kicked off with a raise to 2,500 by Stephen Chidwick and Nick Petrangelo defended the big blind. On a flop of {a-Spades}{10-Clubs}{8-Clubs}, Petrangelo check-called a bet of 8,000 and then checked again the {5-Hearts} turn. Chidwick now placed a green T-25,000 chip as second barrel and Petrangelo used one time bank extension before moving all-in.

The call by Chidwick followed to set up the first all-in showdown of the tournament.

Nick Petrangelo: {10-Spades}{5-Spades}
Stephen Chidwick: {a-Hearts}{q-Spades}

The {j-Diamonds} on the river failed to improve Chidwick and he was left with a short stack as Petrangelo doubled for 92,000.
