Hands #57-61: Katz Doubles

Level 20 : 40,000/80,000, 10,000 ante

Hand 57: Bryn Kenney opened under the gun for {9-Spades}{7-Hearts} making it 175,000. Daniel Negreanu in the small blind with {Q-Diamonds}{9-Diamonds} contemplated what to do for a bit before folding. Bonomo called with {K-Hearts}{4-Hearts}.

The flop came {8-Diamonds}{Q-Spades}{8-Hearts} and both checked. The {J-Hearts} on the turn gave Bonomo a flush draw and he checked. Kenney checked behind again.

The {2-Spades} on the turn was a blank and Bonomo checked. Kenney bet 210,000 into 430,000 and Bonomo folded.

Hand 58: Daniel Negreanu opened {J-Hearts}{10-Clubs} on the button raising to 175,000. Bryn Kenney shoved from the big blind with {Q-Hearts}{J-Clubs} and Negreanu folded.

Hand 59: Justin Bonomo made it 160,000 with {2-Spades}{2-Diamonds}. Bryn Kenney on the button had a real hand with {A-Diamonds}{J-Clubs} and he moved in. The blinds folded, as did Bonomo with his deuces.

Hand 60: In the small blind, Daniel Negreanu limped with {10-Clubs}{2-Clubs}. Bonomo checked {Q-Clubs}{3-Spades} and the flop came {10-Hearts}{5-Diamonds}{4-Diamonds}. Both checked and they did so too on the {4-Clubs} turn. The {K-Hearts} on the river had another two checks and Negreanu took it down with the pair of tens.

Hand 61: Cary Katz moved in with {A-Hearts}{K-Diamonds} for 720,000. Bryn Kenney called with {A-Spades}{Q-Diamonds} in the big blind and would not improve. The board ran out {3-Spades}{10-Spades}{4-Hearts}{4-Diamonds}{6-Hearts} and Katz doubled.

Hands #54-56: Negreanu Goes From 2 BBs to 30 BBs in Three Hands

Level 20 : 40,000/80,000, 10,000 ante
Daniel Negreanu
Daniel Negreanu

Hand 54: Daniel Negreanu moved all in for 185,000 from the button with the {a-Hearts}{7-Diamonds} and Justin Bonomo called from the small blind with the {k-Diamonds}{j-Hearts}, Bryn Kenney came along from the big with the {q-Diamonds}{5-Clubs} and both active players checked the {8-Hearts}{2-Spades}{8-Spades} flop.

They did the same on the {6-Spades} turn and {3-Diamonds} river, and Negreanu tripled to 595,000.

Hand 55: Negreanu moved all in for 585,000 under the gun with the {10-Diamonds}{9-Diamonds} and Kenney called with the {k-Spades}{k-Diamonds} in the small blind. Negreanu was a 4-1 dog with just a 20% chance of surviving.

The {10-Hearts}{3-Spades}{3-Hearts} flop paired his ten, but he needed another ten to stay alive. He had a 9% chance of hitting it, and he did on the {10-Spades} turn! The {10-Clubs} river improved Negreanu to quads and he doubled to 1.29.

Hand 56: Bryn Kenney found another big hand, this time shoving {A-Clubs}{K-Hearts} on the button. The big blind, Daniel Negreanu, called instantly with {8-Diamonds}{8-Clubs}.

The flop came {J-Spades}{8-Spades}{4-Diamonds} hitting Negreanu. The {Q-Clubs} on the turn gave enney a gutshot but the {J-Diamonds} on the river wasn't the card he was looking for.

Hands #48-53: Bonomo Sucks Out to Cripple Negreanu

Level 20 : 40,000/80,000, 10,000 ante

Hand 48: Daniel Negreanu received a walk in the big blind with {10-Hearts}{8-Spades}.

Hand 49: Justin Bonomo received a walk in the big blind with {A-Diamonds}{K-Spades}.

Hand 50: Daniel Negreanu on the button shoved for 1,320,000 with {A-Clubs}{4-Spades} and picked up the blinds and antes as everyone folded.

Hand 51: Bryn Kenney shoved from the small blind with {Q-Clubs}{4-Clubs}, big blind Cary Katz folded {5-Clubs}{3-Diamonds}.

Hand 52: Daniel Negreanu received a walk in the big blind with {4-Clubs}{3-Clubs}.

Hand 53: From the small blind, Daniel Negreanu shoved with {A-Spades}{J-Spades}. Big blind Justin Bonomo wasted no time calling with {A-Clubs}{9-Diamonds} for 1,320,000 in the big blind.

The flop came {6-Diamonds}{Q-Hearts}{Q-Spades}, making for a paired board. The {8-Clubs} on the turn missed both, but the {9-Spades} on the river paired Bonomo and Negreanu was left with just 195,000.

Hands #46-47: Ivan Luca Eliminated in 5th Place ($402,700)

Level 20 : 40,000/80,000, 10,000 ante
Ivan Luca - 5th Place
Ivan Luca - 5th Place

Hand 46: Coming back from the break, Ivan Luca raised to 210,000 on the button with the {10-Spades}{4-Spades} and Bryn Kenney, who was in the big blind, called with the {5-Spades}{5-Hearts}. The {7-Clubs}{2-Hearts}{7-Spades} flop saw Kenney check an Luca continue for 140,000.

Kenney made the call and then checked the {k-Hearts} turn. Luca bet again, this time 200,000, but he couldn't shake Kenney. When the {3-Spades} completed the board on the river, Kenney checked for a third time and Luca bet 425,000. Kenney called and reclaimed the chip lead.

Hand 47: Luca raised to 175,000 with the {a-Hearts}{j-Clubs} on the cutoff (dead button from Haxton's bustout) and Kenney looked down at the {a-Clubs}{k-Clubs} in the small blind. He three-bet to 635,000 and Luca used a time extension before four-betting all in for 3.095 million. Kenney snap-called.

Luca, who started the day as the chip leader, needed some major help; in fact, he had just a 23% chance of winning and a 5% of chopping. The {9-Diamonds}{7-Clubs}{3-Hearts} flop was no help, and neither was the {a-Diamonds} turn. He needed a jack and a jack only on the river, but it was not meant to be as the {7-Hearts} bricked.

From chip leader to out in two hands.

Isaac Haxton
Isaac Haxton

Hand 45: Action folded to Ivan Luca in the small blind and he shoved all in with {A-Hearts}{4-Hearts}. Isaac Haxton had a decision in the big blind with {Q-Hearts}{J-Hearts} and eventually called for 1,410,000 total.

The flop came {K-Spades}{9-Clubs}{3-Clubs} giving Haxton a gutshot. The {K-Clubs} on the turn, however, did nothing and neither did the {7-Clubs} on the river.

"Ok," Haxton said while getting up from the table.

Haxton shook hands with the rest of the players while they went on their first break of the day.

The remaining 5 players are guaranteed $402,700 from here on out.

Hands #40-44: Katz Doubles Twice

Level 19 : 30,000/60,000, 10,000 ante

Hand 40: From the small blind, Isaac Haxton limped in with {10-Hearts}{7-Clubs}. Big blind Bryn Kenney checked {6-Diamonds}{4-Clubs} and they got {10-Spades}{2-Clubs}{6-Clubs} to work with. Haxton, having flopped top pair, bet 60,000 into 180,000. Kenney called with middle-pair. The {9-Spades} hit the turn and Haxton bet 225,000 into 300,000. Kenney folded right away.

Hand 41: Small blind Bryn Kenney pushed with {J-Diamonds}{3-Clubs}. Cary Katz in the big blind called with {J-Spades}{8-Diamonds} for 255,000. The flop was good for Katz with {Q-Clubs}{6-Spades}{8-Hearts} but the {3-Hearts} on the turn made sure Kenney still had outs going to the river. The {2-Hearts} completed the board and Katz doubled up.

Hand 42: From the button, Bryn Kenney shoved with {10-Spades}{7-Diamonds}. Small blind Cary Katz called instantly from the small blind, Daniel Negreanu folded his big blind. Katz showed {A-Clubs}{10-Clubs} and was well ahead.

The flop came {5-Hearts}{2-Spades}{7-Clubs} helping Kenney in front. The {3-Hearts} hit the turn giving Katz a gutshot to go along with his live ace and he hit the latter: {A-Spades}! Another double for Katz.

"That was justice," Katz said with a smile.

Hand 43: Isaac Haxton raised {A-Hearts}{J-Clubs} to 125,000 from the hijack. Daniel Negreanu moved in from the small blind for 1,090,000 with {K-Spades}{K-Clubs} and the big blind folded right away. Haxton asked for a count and folded.

Hand 44: Bryn Kenne made it 135,000 with {A-Clubs}{K-Hearts} in the hijack. He took down the blinds and antes.
