Final Day Action
The right finalists came back at 1 p.m. for the final day, all of them guaranteed €4,450. French player Benoit Kuhn was leading the finalists, as he was for the beginning of Day 2. Ukrainian player Oleksandr Krasnov was the first out with two pairs against two better pairs. Spanish players Marcos Fernandez (7th, €5,530) and Antonio Ponce (6th, €7,000) were the next to bust, leaving the field empty from local players.
High Stakes player Tom-Aksel Bedell was shortstack for a long time and he finally finished in fifth position (€9,500) before former chipleader Benoit Kuhn exited (4th, €13,000).
Pokercode Grindhouse members Sebastian Schulze and Samuel Mullur were favorites but Spanish resident Sylwester Fortuna intended to keep the trophy home. Three handed play lasted for a while before German player Sebastian Schulze was the victim of a bad beat, with jacks against king jack suited. Therefore, Sylwester Fortuna started the heads up with the biggest stack. Samuel Mullur could'nt do anything and Fortuna triumphed quite quickly when his ace queen stayed ahead of Mullur's ace jack.
Fun atmosphere and friendly community were present. Pokercode founder Fedor Holz was proud and even annouced that, considering this edition success, another Pokercode festival will take place later this year.
