Zhen Cai Eliminated in 10th Place ($17,219)

Level 22 : 8,000/16,000, 0 ante
Zhen Cai - 10th Place
Zhen Cai - 10th Place

Ashly Butler raised to 32,000 on the button, and Zhen Cai came along from the big blind.

Cai check-raised Butler's continuation-bet on the {j-Hearts}{k-Clubs}{2-Spades} flop to 153,000. Butler made the call. The turn was a {10-Hearts}, and Cai moved all in. Butler snap-called, showing {a-Hearts}{q-Hearts}{10-Clubs}{8-Clubs} for a wrap draw that turned into the nut straight.

"We've got outs," Cai said, showing {k-Diamonds}{k-Hearts}{q-Diamonds}{3-Hearts} for a set and a flush draw. The river was a {9-Diamonds}, missing Cai's hand and ending his tournament.

Giant Pot Ends In a Chop

Level 22 : 8,000/16,000, 0 ante

Action started with Ashly Butler who raised to 38,000 from under the gun. He was called by Brian Hacker in the cutoff and John Cernuto in the big blind.

The flop came down {J-Clubs}{Q-Hearts}{2-Clubs} and Cernuto checked to Butler, who let with a bet of 68,000. Hacker called which led to a fold from Cernuto. The turn fell the {4-Hearts} and quickly Butler announced "Pot," which ended up being a bet of 250,000, more than Hacker had left in his stack.

Hacker hit the tank and was in there for nearly five minutes before someone, it's not clear who, called the clock. Hacker toughed over his decision for another 30 seconds before announcing a call and the two men went to show down.

Hacker: {A-Hearts}{10-Hearts}{2-Spades}{9-Spades}
Butler: {A-Spades}{A-Diamonds}{10-Diamonds}{7-Clubs}

Hack had both flush and straight draws as well as a pair of deuces while Butler held the better hand at the moment with aces and a draw to an ace-seven low.

The river though was the {8-Hearts} locking up the high for Hacker and the low for Butler. As the dealer chopped the pot, Butler shook his head disappointedly as half of pot was shipped over to Hacker.

Cai Ships the Turn

Level 21 : 6,000/12,000, 0 ante

Ashly Butler raised to 28,000 and found callers in Zhen Cai on the button and Andrey Zaichenko in the big blind.

The flop came {3-Diamonds}{9-Diamonds}{j-Hearts}, and Butler fired 42,000 after Zaichenko checked. Cai made the call, and Zaichenko folded. The turn paired the board with the {9-Hearts}, and Butler kept the lead with 95,000. Cai said he was all in, and Butler folded immediately.

Four-bet Pot Goes to Butler

Level 21 : 6,000/12,000, 0 ante

Action began with Ashly Butler opening the pot with a raise to 33,000. Zhen Cai called before action folded to Andrey Zaichenko who raised to 103,000. Action all the way back to Butler who took his time before attempting to raise to 433,000, but in the end it was too much and the bet stood as a pot to 360,000 instead.

Cai quickly folded and Zaichenko only thought briefly before folding his hand. After the hand Zaichenko and Makarov began speaking to each other in Russian. Butler staged a complaint with the floor and the two were warned that they would receive a penalty if they had to be asked to only speak English at the table again.

Robert Price Eliminated in 11th Place ($17,219)

Level 21 : 6,000/12,000, 0 ante
Robert Price
Robert Price

Almost immediately after we lost John O'Shea, Robert Price fell quickly after. Preflop, Price and Alexey Makarov got all the money in the middle. Makarov was holding {K-Clubs}{2-Diamonds}{A-Hearts}{9-Clubs} against Price's {2-Hearts}{2-Spades}{3-Clubs}{A-Diamonds}.

The board ran out {K-Diamonds}{4-Spades}{10-Diamonds}{6-Clubs}{Q-Spades} giving Makarov the best high with a pair of kings and putting no low on the board to eliminate price.

Players are now collapsing to an unofficial final table of ten.
