Will Joao Simao Parlay His Chip Lead into His First WSOP Bracelet in Event #2: $1,111 Caesars Cares Charity Event?

The second bracelet of the 2021 GGPoker WSOP Online will be awarded Monday, Aug. 2 as the WSOP Online Event #2: $1,111 Caesars Cares Charity Event down to just 20 players.

The event attracted a healthy field of 1,584 players to generate a massive $1,759,824 prize pool but this is only half the story as this event also raised $175,824 for Caesars Cares, a Nevada-based COVID-19 charity.

Joao Simao bagged a chip leading stack on Day 1 of 4,808,840 after 32 blind levels of 15-minutes each in his quest for his first WSOP gold bracelet with an impressive group right behind in Andras Nemeth (3,625,258), Claas Segebrecht (3,532,007), Roman Hrabec (2,897,555), and Ilya "Dezauzer" Yakunin (2,810,361).

Meanwhile, Elio Fox (2,427,140), Sergio Aido (2,140,493), and Yuhan "HansNevrLose" Liu (2,097,352) also virtually bagged top 10 stacks into Day 2.

Day 2 Plan

The action will resume on Monday, Aug. 2 at 7 p.m. CEST (1 p.m. ET) with blinds at 35,000/70,000 along with an ante of 8,500. Blinds will increase every 15 minutes until the final table at which point blinds will be rolled back to assure at least a 40 big blind average and will increase a certain after a certain amount of hands instead of by time.
