Several Bracelet Winners in Contention Heading into Day 4 of Event #21: Monster Stack No-Limit Hold'em

From an initial 6,501 runners, the field has been narrowed to just 39 players as they enter the fourth and final day of Event #21: $1,500 Monster Stack No-Limit Hold'em.

Today is the day that someone is guaranteed to take home the $966,577 top prize and, of course, the WSOP gold bracelet.

Returning players have already earned at least a very impressive $25,369 from their initial $1,500 investment. Most of the original $8,678,835 prize pool is still up for grabs, with Japan's Yoshiya Agata leading the way with a stack of 19,475,000.

Day 1A chip leader Frank Lagodich has battled his way back to second place in the tournament, with a current stack of 16,450,000. Rounding out the top five are WSOP bracelet winner Anthony Spinella (15,850,000), Australia's Andrej Senic (15,375,000), and Francis Anderson (15,300,000).

WSOP bracelet winners Jeremy Saderne (14,400,000), Max Steinberg (12,875,000), Calvin Anderson (9,925,000), Joao Simao (4,900,000), and Justin Saliba (2,675,000) are also still in contention, with Anderson seeking a special third bracelet.

The remaining field will play one-hour levels until a winner is decided, taking 15-minute breaks every two levels. The 60-minute dinner break will commence at the end of Level 39 (roughly 7 p.m. local time).

Jeremy Saderne opened from the cutoff and Mike Jukich went all-in from the button. Saderne called.

Though Jukich was dominated and at-risk, he would get his card on the {j-Clubs}{9-Diamonds}{3-Diamonds} flop. The {2-Clubs} and {9-Spades} completed the board and Jukich earned an important early double-up.

The flop was {q-Clubs}{7-Spades}{4-Diamonds}, Agata checked and Teusl bet 525,000 which was called.

On the {2-Diamonds} turn Agata checked again and Teusl came with a sizing of 1,725,000. Agata gave up his hand awarding Teusl the early pot.

Lotti Deals Mishuk Early Blow

With around 1,500,000 in the pot on a {7-Hearts}{10-Spades}{9-Clubs}{j-Clubs} board, Alexey Mishuk, from the big blind, put out a bet of 1,200,000. Romain Lotti called from the button.

On the {5-Diamonds} river, Mishuk fired again, this time for 3,400,000. Lotti immediately threw a chip in and Mishuk knew he was beat.

Mishuk showed {6-Clubs}{5-Clubs} for a pair of fives and a missed club draw, while Lotti had {a-Clubs}{8-Spades} for a straight on the turn.

Action was relayed by the table after the fact. Anthony Spinella opened from the small blind with {10-}{10-} and Max Steinberg elected on a shove from the big blind for roughly 10,000,000 with {6-}{6-}.

Spinella made the call and the sixes of Steinberg did not improve, eliminating him from the tournament.

Saliba Seals Ladder, Doubles Up Through Chait

The action folded around to Craig Chait in the small blind and Chait forced Justin Saliba to make a decision for his tournament life by moving all in.

After a minute, Saliba realized that he had already secured a ladder up of just under $6,000, he called.

Action started when Mike Jukich opened to 650,000 from middle position. Jessica Teusl three-bet to 1,800,000 from the cutoff. Only Jukich made the call.

Both players checked on the flop of {j-Spades}{10-Spades}{9-Clubs}. The turn came the {k-Hearts} and Jukich checked. Teusl bet out for 3,500,000 which was called.

On the {3-Hearts} river Jukich quickly checked again and Teusl assembled a bet sliding out 5,850,000. Jukich slammed the table in disgust.

"I let you off the hook on this one", said Jukich before tossing his cards in the muck awarding Teusl the large pot.
