There have been two days of flights leading up to today, with an impressive 6,501 entrants registered for Event #21: The $1,500 Monster Stack No-Limit Hold'em.
Players from around the world packed the WSOP Bally's and Paris Las Vegas ballrooms each day, generating a $8,678,835 prize pool.
Linus Richter is the current chip leader with (788,000), while Frank Lagodich (635,000), Justin Lee (631,000), Andrew Rosen (592,000), and Jordan Reid (587,500).

With the final payouts to be announced shortly after play resumes (10 a.m. local time), the players will be aiming to climb the ladder and secure both a cash and passage to Day 3.
The players will play 10 one-hour levels today, though breaks have been reduced from 20 minutes to 15 minutes every two levels. The 60-minute dinner break will commence at the end of level 19 (roughly 7 p.m. local time).

Cowen, who won the 2021 $3,000 Pot Limit Omaha event, shrugged and said he should have arrived 10 minutes late.

Nadine Savage opened to 6,000 on the button and Chris Conrad defended out of the big blind.
Conrad checked on the flop of and called a bet of 6,500 from Savage. Conrad checked again on the turn and Savage sized up to 20,000. Conrad check-raised to 50,000 and his opponent took about a minute before tossing her cards into the muck.

Cary Katz was in position in a heads-up pot against Dae Woong Song on a board reading with around 15,000 in the middle.
Song led out with a bet of 6,500 and Katz raised to 25,000. Song then three-bet jammed a stack of about 165,000 and Katz entered the tank as he considered calling off for his final 60,000.
"I have a good hand," Katz offered. "You got eights? Ace-nine?"
Katz eventually tossed in a reluctant called. Song nodded in defeat and turned over for a weak ace and a missed flush draw, while Katz emphatically tabled for trips to win the pot and double up.

Allan Dancer opened to 6,000 and was called by the hijack. The big blind then moved all-in for his last 57,000 chips and Dancer called. The hijack folded and the remaining duo turned their cards over.
