Inouye Rivers The Winner

Level 2 : 200/300, 300 ante
Kenneth Inouye
Kenneth Inouye

Kenneth Inouye was in position versus two opponents, the small and big blinds. On a {9-Diamonds}{10-Diamonds}{j-Hearts}{4-Hearts}{a-Spades} board, where the big blind opponent bet into him 4,100 chips with 5,500 already in the middle, Inouye made the call. The small blind got out of the way and cards were on their backs.

Opponent: {9-Hearts}{8-Hearts}
Kenneth Inouye: {a-Hearts}{5-Hearts}

Top pair did it for Kenneth as he continues to build.

Joseph Gets Opponent to Lay Down Full House

Level 2 : 200/300, 300 ante

With 5,500 in the middle on a {4-Clubs}{k-Hearts}{10-Hearts}{k-Clubs}{k-Diamonds} board, Jeremy Joseph, in early position, went for a 2x-pot-sized bet of 11,000.

His opponent, sitting in the cutoff, went into the tank for roughly two minutes, taking chips in and out of his hand, before eventually making the fold and showing the {10-Diamonds}.

Joseph did not appear too happy with the laydown as he raked in the pot.

Jonathan Lawson
Jonathan Lawson

On a board of {8-Hearts}{a-Clubs}{9-Spades}{q-Clubs}{7-Clubs}, Jonathan Lawson got his opponent to pay him off approximately 6,000 with {a-Diamonds}{j-Hearts}, while his {j-Clubs}{10-Clubs} managed to get there with the turned straight and rivered flush.

Lawson was in good spirits after his win, ''That's the most I've had so far!'', he said, referring to his newly developed stack.

Warner Cracks Straight with Full House on River

Level 2 : 200/300, 300 ante

With 8,000 in the pot on a {8-Diamonds}{10-Clubs}{a-Spades}{9-Clubs} board, Jason Warner bet 4,200 from the cutoff. The player on the button called and the small blind raised to 11,500. Both Warner and the button called.

On the {10-Spades} river, the small blind shoved for approximately 16,500. Warner snap-called and the button folded instantly.

Warner turned over the {a-Diamonds}{10-Hearts} for a rivered full house, much to the dismay of the small blind player, who showed {q-Clubs}{j-Spades} for a straight that was the nuts on the turn.

The small blind then grabbed his bag and headed for the exit.

Misikoff Wins Pot Despite Exposing Hand on River

Level 2 : 200/300, 300 ante

With 4,800 chips in the middle, all six players involved checked the {q-Clubs}{10-Hearts}{j-Spades} flop and the {8-Spades} turn.

The river brought the {3-Diamonds} and Gary Misikoff bet out 2,200 from the big blind. The under-the-gun player also called and it folded around to the small blind.

Misikoff, however, accidentally turned over his hand before the small blind acted, seemingly only exposing an eight. The small blind went into the tank for a good 90 seconds before making the call with {q-}{10-} for two pair.

Misikoff, playing in his first-ever World Series of Poker Event, turned over {9-}{8-} for a straight and the win, laughing off his mistake afterwards.

Rodriguez Wins Three-Bet Pot

Level 2 : 200/300, 300 ante

The under-the-gun player bet 800 and Noel Rodriguez three-bet to 2,800. His opponent called and the duo went to the flop.

The flop came {q-Hearts}{10-Diamonds}{3-Hearts} and Rodriguez continued for 2,400. His opponent called.

With the {2-Spades} turn, Rodriguez made a larger bet, this time to 8,000. The player under the gun called once more.

The {j-Hearts} had both players tapping the table and the California native turned over {a-Diamonds}{q-Diamonds} to win the pot.

His opponent also had top pair with an inferior kicker, showing {q-Clubs}{9-Clubs}.

Hundt Hits his Combo Draw on River

Level 3 : 200/400, 400 ante

With 11,000 chips in the middle on a {6-Clubs}{3-Clubs}{8-Diamonds}{10-Spades} board, James Hundt put out a bet of 7,200 from the button. The player in the cutoff called.

The river brought the {7-Hearts} and Hundt overbet jammed for his last 35,300. After about 20 seconds, the player in the cutoff called for all but about 3,000 of his chips.

Hundt showed that his {a-Clubs}{9-Clubs} combo draw made a straight on the river, beating his opponent's {8-Hearts}{6-Hearts} for a flopped two pair.
