Contreraz Catches Kade Bluffing

Level 5 : 300/600, 600 ante

Vanessa Kade opened for 1,500 from early position and was called by the button and Angel Contreraz in the big blind.

The flop came {9-Hearts}{10-Spades}{9-Diamonds} and it checked around.

The {k-Clubs} arrived on the turn and Kade fired for 2,000. The button folded and Contreraz called.

On the {4-Spades} river, Kade put out another bet for 6,500 and was called almost immediately. Kade threw her cards face down into the muck and Contreraz won the pot without needing to show his cards.

Nimer Hero Calls with Ace High to Win 32,000-Chip Pot

Level 6 : 400/800, 800 ante

With 15,800 already in the middle on a {3-Spades}{3-Diamonds}{10-Hearts}{q-Diamonds}{q-Hearts} board, Ahmed "A.J." Nimer checked from the small blind.

The big blind bet 7,200 and while Nimer started to send his cards toward the muck, he reconsidered and after a minute, he made the call.

Nimer won the had with {a-Clubs}{9-Clubs}, correctly calling his opponent's {k-}{j-}.

The very next hand, Nimer came with a three-bet for 4,500 from the button against an early position player. The big blind cold called and the early position flicked in a red chip.

The flop came {9-Diamonds}{2-Hearts}{2-Spades} and Nimer put in a quarter-pot-sized bet of 3,200. The big blind called and the player in early position let his cards go.

On the {7-Hearts} turn, Nimer fired for 15,000 and his opponent folded, taking the Dallas native's stack close to 100,000.

Stacey Still Alive, Triples Up with Runner-Runner Trips

Level 6 : 400/800, 800 ante

On a {9-Hearts}{k-Hearts}{a-Clubs} board, Patrick Stacey was all-in and received calls from both the button and the under-the-gun player.

The {6-Spades} had the button firing another 11,000 and the player under the gun called.

The {6-Clubs} river went check-check and, rather miraculously, Stacey's {8-Hearts}{6-Hearts} dominated flush draw won the main pot thanks to running sixes to make trips.

Stacey's trip sixes bested the button's {a-Spades}{k-Diamonds} two pair and the under-the-gun player's {a-Hearts}{j-Hearts} top pair and missed flush draw.

The button won a side pot of 23,600.

Aces Cracked For Jarry

Level 6 : 400/800, 800 ante

After a raise of 2,200 from the player under the gun, Tom Jarry 3-bet to 7,000. His opponent called to see a flop.

The under-the-gun player bet 9,000 on the {6-Diamonds}{10-Clubs}{9-Diamonds} flop and Jarry called.

On a {7-Hearts} turn, Jarry called a second barrel of 15,000, before his opponent shoved for 37,000 on a {4-Diamonds} river.

After three minutes, he finally called with Aces, to learn the bad news: his opponent made a straight on the turn with {q-Hearts}{8-Hearts}.

Tom Jarry who was off to a good start after busting another French player, Lorenzo Lavis, with KK vs AK, is now below the 50,000-chip starting stack.

Moore Takes Down Big Pot Before Break

Level 6 : 400/800, 800 ante

On the last hand of level 6, Megan Moore was in the cutoff facing an opponent in the big blind.

With 12,000 already in the middle on a {q-Clubs}{9-Diamonds}{8-Diamonds}{j-Spades} board, the big blind bet out for 7,000. Moore would raise to 30,000 and the big blind called.

The {a-Hearts} river had both players tapping the table and Moore tabled {a-Spades}{10-Clubs} to take down a 72,000-chip pot, breathing a sigh of relief that the big blind did not have {k-}{10-}.
