Trips for Greenstein

Level 15 : 3,000/6,000, 6,000 ante
Barry Greenstein
Barry Greenstein

Barry Greenstein was in the big blind in a heads-up pot against the small blind.

The small blind checked on the flop of {4-Clubs}{4-Spades}{6-Diamonds} and Greenstein bet 9,000. His opponent called. The small blind again check-called on the {3-Diamonds} turn when Greenstein sized up to 20,000.

The small blind checked a third time on the {7-Spades} river and Greenstein checked back before showing {10-Clubs}{4-Diamonds} for trips to win the pot. After the hand, Greenstein thought aloud whether he could have gotten another bet in on the scary board.

"You don't want to get called," someone said.

"Exactly," agreed Greenstein.

Morrill Hits Miracle Runner-Runner Full House to Double Up

Level 15 : 3,000/6,000, 6,000 ante

Jefferson Morrill opened to 15,000 from middle position and his opponent called from the big blind.

The flop came {2-Hearts}{a-Diamonds}{7-Spades} and Morrill continued for 15,000 again. The big blind overbet jammed, putting Morrill all-in for his remaining 205,000 chips. Morrill considered and eventually called.

Jefferson Morrill: {a-Clubs}{q-Spades}
Big Blind: {2-Diamonds}{2-Clubs}

Morrill had about a 2% chance of winning the hand, which is slightly worse odds than hitting a one-outer.

However, the turn and river came {q-Diamonds}{q-Hearts} to give Morrill queens over aces, trumping his opponent's deuces over queens.

Morrill received a miraculous double-up and sent his stunned opponent down to just 56,000 chips with the bubble upcoming.

A player in late position opened to 13,000 and Julian Pineda raised to 29,000 from the cutoff. Steve Parkin cold-called from the big blind and the late-position player called.

The flop came {k-Spades}{4-Clubs}{6-Spades} and the late-position player donk bet to 64,000. Pineda then raised to 200,000. Parkin folded and the late-position player went into the tank for about three minutes as his whole stack was virtually at stake. He eventually folded.

Pineda then showed the {a-Spades}{10-Diamonds} for a well-executed bluff and took down the huge pot.
