Viktor "Isildur1" Blom

Its been a wild ride for Viktor Isildur1 Blom playing online poker this summer. Back in May, Blom won the PokerStars Spring Championship of Online Poker Main Event #43-H for $1,096,200 and then skipped the World Series of Poker in favor of the lucrative online cash games.

It seemed to be a wise decision as he quickly pushed his yearly profits up to $5.2 million, a solid $2 million ahead of his next closest competitor. In last weeks Online Railbird Report, we told you how Blom gave $1,404,756 of that back to become the weeks biggest loser, and while he wasnt this weeks biggest, Blom did lose another $711,186 in 7,034 hands spread across 57 sessions enough to drop him below Kyle cottonseed1 Hendon on the yearly leader board (which you can view at the bottom of this article).

The only player who lost more than Blom this week was Isaac luvtheWNBA Haxton, who dropped $792,597 in 1,522 hands across 16 sessions which averages out to losing $520.76 per hand. Other big losers included HelicopterBen82 (-$470,186 in 26 sessions/2,532 hands), kagome kagome (-$371,166 in 12 sessions/1,411 hands) and Denoking (-$356,799 in 6 hands/565 hands).

Those who profited off the loses from the aforementioned were Rhje (+$982,680 in 32 sessions/2,852 hands), Kyle KPR16 Ray (+$531,784 in 13 sessions/1,160 hands), Trueteller (+$490,296 in 22 sessions/2,882 hands), Alex IReadYrSoul Millar (+$418,792 in 14 sessions/1,860 hands) and Daniel jungleman12 Cates (+$381,122 in 28 sessions/3,377 hands).

Dang, Polk and MalACEsia Fuel Wednesday Action

On Wednesday, July 17, the $400/$800 no-limit holdem games were going strong on Full Tilt Poker and resulted in two big winners, MalACEsia (+$254,300) and Alex IReadYrSoul Millar (+$232,100). The former made his money playing for five hours at the six-max tables, and the latter playing heads-up against Viktor Isildur1 Blom for three hours.

Speaking of Blom, he went on to drop $210,800 in 131 hands of $2,000/$4,000 fixed-limit Omaha hi/lo to Kyle KPR16 Ray. Combined, Blom lost $409,000 on the day, which was enough to make him the biggest loser.

Another six-figure winner on the day was punting-peddler, who won $160,800 in a 90-minute session of $400/$800 NLHE against Doug WCGRider Polk. It was in that game, which involved some other players, where the days biggest pots occurred. Interestingly, both of those pots went to Polk.

In the largest pot, action was six-handed when Polk ($161,253.50) opened for $3,520 from the cutoff only to have Denoking ($184,150) three-bet to $9,200 from the cutoff. The button folded, as did the blinds, and Polk four-bet to $29,920. Not to be outdone, Denoking five-bet to $184,150 and Polk called off his remaining $131,333.50.

Denoking: K?K?
Polk: A?A?

It was a cooler for Denoking, but he had two shots at cracking Polks pocket rockets as the two players agreed to run it twice. Much to Denokings dismay, neither the J?8?J?Q?4? on the first run nor the 9?7?6?4?3? on the second delivered him a king and Polk was pushed the $324,304 pot.

In the days second biggest pot, action was five-handed when Polk ($121,009) opened for $2,800 under the gun, MalACEsia ($102,075) called on the button and Hac trex313 Dang ($121,100) three-bet to $12,750 from the small blind. Polk responded by making it $29,200, MalACEsia folded and Dang five-bet all in for $121,100. Polk made the call and Dang was caught with his hand in the cookie jar.

Dang: A?5?
Polk: A?K?

According to the PokerNews Odds Calculator, Polk was the 65.80% favorite while Dang would come from behind 29.70% of the time. The 10?10?J? flop wasnt particularly interesting and it dropped Dangs chances of winning down to 13.94%. The 4? turn knocked it down even further to 6.82%, meaning Dang needed either a five on the river to win or a jack or four to chop. Unfortunately for him, the 7? wasnt what he needed and the $246,065 pot was pushed to Polk.

Rhje Wins $424,500 in Thursday $400/$800 NLHE

The $400/$800 NLHE games continued into Thursday, which is when Rhje, who if you recall finished as the weeks biggest winner, banked $424,500 in just an hour of play. Also winning in the game was proudlikeagoat, whose $300,000 score brought him up over $1 million on the year. Not surprisingly, these two players won the two biggest pots of the day.

In the first, action was six-handed when HelicopterBen82 ($130,312) opened for $2,400 from the cutoff and was met by a three-bet to $8,000 by Rhje ($134,765.50) in the small blind. HelicopterBen82 made the call and then bet $12,000 after Rhje checked the K?J?8? flop. A call was made and then Rhje check-called a bet of $23,200 when the 2? turned. After the 6? completed the board on the river, Rhje checked for a third time and then called when HelicopterBen82 shoved all in for $87,112 to create a pot of $262,021. HelicopterBen82 rolled over the 10?9? for a missed straight draw, which was no good against Rhjes A?A?.

In the other notable hand, action was five-handed when MalACEsia ($180,797.50) opened for $2,000 from the cutoff and proudlikeagoat ($120,839) three-bet to $7,200 from the small blind. The big blind got out of the way, MalACEsia called, and the flop came down K?6?5?. Proudlikeagoat bet $8,094, MalACEsia called, and the 2? turned. There was a bet of $82,084.30 and a call before the J? completed the board on the river, which saw proudlikeagoat fire out $57,713.34. MalACEsia proceeded to move all in and proudlikeagoat called off his remaining $24,370.95. MalACEsia flipped over the 2?2? for a turned set, but it was no good as proudlikeagoat tabled the 10?8? for a rivered flush. Ship the $242,925 pot to proudlikeagoat.

The big losers in the game were Denoking (-$337,000), Tight-Man1 (-$295,000) and MalACEsia (-$126,000).

Big Pots Characterize Monday Melee

Once again, the $400/$800 NLHE games were running on Monday, which is when Trueteller won $547,800. Whats more, Trueteller won seven six-figure pots including one worth $257,500.

In that hand, action was six-handed when Niklas ragen70 Heinecker ($146,975.50) opened for $2,000 from the cutoff and Isaac luvtheWNBA Haxton ($127,447) called from the small blind. Trueteller ($159,692.50) then three-bet to $12,000 from the big, Heinecker folded and Haxton made the call, bringing about a flop of 3?6?10?. Haxton checked, Trueteller bet $17,754 and then Haxton woke up with a check-raise to $39,600. Trueteller responded by moving all in and Haxton quickly called off his remaining $75,697.

Trueteller: J?J?
Haxton: 9?9?

The two agreed to run it twice, but Haxton came up short both times and the Q? and 2? on the first run failed to deliver a nine, as did the 6? and Q? on the second.

Other winners in the game included Rhje and MalACEsia, who won $365,300 and $233,200, respectively, while Haxton was the overwhelming loser after dropping $855,000.

While the above pot was nice, the days biggest a $351,900 monster actually went to proudlikeagoat. Have a look:
